We arrived three days after the hotel reopened so there were several areas still a work in progress with drilling and works ongoing. The spacious room was decorated in a pleasing contemporary style with a somewhat unusual bathroom layout. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working so we had to leave the doors open, there were no sun beds/deckchairs or table on the very spacious double terrace which had a great Jacuzzi which we put to good use every day. There were no coffee/tea facilities in the room although there were supposed to be. The pool area was lovely with nice sun beds and harem beds and entertainment but the pool looked smaller than on the website however the spa is a must and you get lots for your 10 euros. The staff were very friendly and tried to help when they could but tempers frayed a bit mostly with the aircon being out. The food was v.disappointing not always warm and more tapas and grill and the 'Asian fusion' restaurant was a weird experience, so we ate out several times.
"Fantastic hotel. Evening entertainment needs work."
Lovely week away with my partner. Despite the hotel being mainly family orientated there was still plenty of activities for adults to get stuck into. The kids clubs looked really fun and kept most of the younger kids occupied all day.
Food was great offering lots of variety each day, the restaurant timings were also quite long so it was difficult to miss a meal. They also ran a pool side snack bar all afternoon which we found handy most days.
Staff were fantastic, always friendly with a smile on their faces. Always keeping the guests entertained throughout the day whilst at the same time not pestering you. All multi-lingual too.
Only things that disappointed were the evening entertainment for adults really needs some investment. The acts were really quite low grade and never lasted more than 50 mins. Not so bad if there was dancing or something afterwards but that never seemed to happen either. Appreciate its mainly a family focussed hotel however the adults still need to let their hair down a bit too!
Only other thing was the lack of a proper beach. It was more like a patch of sand and rocks across the road really. This wasn't a big drama though as the pool and hotel facilities were excellent otherwise.
The food was excellent! Congratulations to the chef! Beautiful display of salads, meat dishes, fruits, fish and sea food, sweets. Comfortable beds. The knob of the shower did not work properly in the bathroom but apart from that it was an excellent choice.
stayed for couple of nights and it was an amazing experience. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Special mention to Julia with always a radiant smile on her face. Would recommend anyone traveling to costa teguise. Free bus to nearest beach every hour. Forgot my bag in the bus and driver was kind enough to keep it safe. Rooms were clean and spacious. Night entertainment was amazing. Would definitely go back.
Found the hotel to be geared up for All Inclusive guests. If on half board you need to activate a credit card at reception straight away. Hotel some way from resort, so a car recommended. Typical All Inclusive food in the evening, but a good price to go half board for a night.

Apart from the room not being ready (which didn't matter as it was lunch time) i cannot fault anything. Everyone was really friendly, the room was clean, the food was good and plenty of room and sunbeds around the pool.
The only problem I had was nearthe end of the holiday I was informed that I had only paid for a child and my son was over 12. This is more a problem with Expedia as his age had to be entered on the booking. Also when we checked in, we told the receptionist his age before being issued with a wristband. Luckily the hotel did not pursue this request
We enjoy the beach and peaceful holiday and found this the ideal place to stay. It could not have been any better.
We have been to Lanzarote and Costa Teguise before but never stayed in a better position or facility.
Two minute walk to beach. Two minute walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.
Developed in the late 1970s as a luxury holiday playground, Costa Teguise is today no longer exclusive, but remains a very popular family resort. Low-rise apartments and smart hotels face onto a sheltered bay favoured by windsurfers – novices and experts alike. Its busy nightlife clusters around an “old village”-style square. Lanzarote’s only water park and its one golf club (a picturesque 18-hole course) lie within the resort’s boundaries.
