“Lovely Hotel in Great Location”

Lovely Hotel very quaint and full of character. Only complaint I have is that the breakfast was very limited and the bed extremely hard! Had back ache all week which spoilt things a bit. Location is superb and view from hotel balcony was gorgeous. The weather was great all week and we travelled round the various ports/beaches which were lovely although every where was quite deserted for the beginning of September. Porto Cervo was extremely expensive - 18 euros for 2 coffees!!! On the whole I would recommend the hotel and Costa Smeraldo area as it is very beautiful although expensive.

Getting around

You will definately need to hire a car to see the island. Road are a bit scary though as the other drivers quite often don't stick to their side of the road and roads are really winding!

“hotel has seen better days and don't mention the mosquitoes”

I really cannot reconcile this hotel with the other reviews. When we arrived we found a rather shabby hotel suffering from a lack of investment. Printed sheets of A4 stuck up around the place telling residents what they could not do only added to the poor ambience of the place. Being expected to keep the same beach towel for the entire stay seemed a petty measure and being eaten alive by mosquitoes whenever in the hotel was unpleasant. The room we stayed in also had an issue with stinky drains in the bathroom. Not 4 star accommodation.

Traveller's tip

If you get fed up of the busy beaches and being constantly hassled by hawkers then head over to the Island of La Maddalena. Lots of quiet beaches with great views.

“Great Hotel”

Great location, layout of hotel is fantastic, with seven pools there are plenty of quiet spots to retreat to. Staff was great. Hotel was better than I expected..can't wait to stay again.

“Hotel hui, Zimmer pfui”

Das Hotel wäre eigentlich toll, ebenso der Service, allerdings war unser Zimmer feucht, es roch stark nach Schimmel, ohne geöffnete Terassenentüre hätte wir im Zimmer gar nicht bleiben können. Die Rückwände z.B. der Nachtischkästen waren angeschimmelt, ein deutliches Zeichen, das im Untergeschoss hohe Feuchtigkeit vorherrscht. Auf unsere Reklamation hin hat man es an der Rezeption nicht geschafft uns ein neues Zimmer zu geben. Daher können wir das Hotel und vor allem das Zimmer keinesfalls weiterempfehlen!

L' hotel s i trova in un' ottima posizione solo che la nostra camera aveva bisogno di una piccola manutenzione : molte luci non funzionavano come l'aria condizionata in più i tour offerti in hotel erano decisamente più cari d quelli offerti fuori

Se il tempo lo permette fine maggio primi di giugno sono un buon periodo anche se l'acqua è un' pò fredda
