Sitges @ Melia perfect combo
I enoyed the visit to Sitges and wanted to book a one night in the area. I chose Melia because of their reputation. I was happy that I did. It was the perfect location for me and steps from the beach I wanted to visit. Property was secure and the view was spectacular. I will return here.

The stay at the Melia Sitges I booked through Expedia was more than disappointing. It’s rated 4 star on Expedia and the place was filthy. When I checked in I was given a room that had been smoked in. As I was about to call desk the cleaning staff came in with an air filter. I’m asthmatic and that’s not gonna get that musty smoke filled smell out in time in order to avoid a crisis. So the front desk changed my room. In the new room I hadn’t noticed the air conditioning vent when I entered room. But in the morning in noticed there was what appeared to be black mold/mildew on and around vents and also on the shower ceiling. I reported it to management and she assured me it would be rectified. Vent was replaced and cleaned. However, when I went to take shower later, in order to keep my balance, I leaned on wall with dark tile and discovered the dark tile wall was also filthy with what appeared to be mold/mildew that got on my hand. Do they think at Melia just because the tile is dark you they have to clean it? Do I have to specify everything that needs to be cleaned? The place is disgusting… all the hallway carpets are filthy and stained.... If you can’t clean the stain replace the carpet!!!

Allocated standard room after booking a Premier room. Carpets very dirty, signs of flooding. Air conditioning very poor, condition of bathroom tired and shower covered in growth/dirt. Breakfast same everyday very average. Pool area very crowded and facilities for kids.

5th time staying here and it never fails. Stunning views, fabulous breakfast, excellent staff. (We originally booked a standard room. When we arrived we were given a room that had definitely seen better days! However, we upgraded and our room was perfect!) If we’re allowed to mention individuals: Maria Angeles is a shining star and brightens your day.

This is the only hotel to stay in Sitges. Great breakfast, central air conditioning, amazing shower, beautiful pool and pool area, and all rooms have a great size balcony, close enough to town but not in the middle of the party. Great walkable restaurants in the marina and next to Balmins beach. The train station is just a 15min walk. You also have a supermarket 10min away.

We absolutely loved our stay at the MELIA Sitges. The staff are pleasant, the room is comfortable, the food and service is good and the location is great. If I could point to one small improvement it would be to provide a kettle to guests. We did ask for one at reception but we’re informed it would cost an extra €10 per night (€40 for a 4 night stay!) When you’re paying nearly €200 per night it leaves a slightly sour taste being asked to pay extra for something basic like a kettle. Other than this minor complaint it was a faultless experience, and I would definitely return.

The hotel was perfect in every way, from Paul on reception (who sorted out some of Expedia’s mess ups) to the poolside food which was exceptional. My tip… book direct with the hotel, expedia are absolutely useless. Would like to fight over my incorrect room and bill, but really don’t have the energy. If you take one tip from my review, run from Expedia !

Melia Sitges is a great place. Their rooms are kept up to date. Some are more newly updated than others but even the "cheapest" rooms are good quality rooms. Their breakfast is phenomenal and definitely worth the price. The desk staff are welcoming and helpful. No complaints.

Hi the hotel is awesome itself When I checked in I have to pay for the 3 rd person eventhough I have already did paid for 3 The next day when I went to the beach I came to room my 3 bed and my stuff was gone. Just because I have no luggage there they assume we not there. They put out stiff into garbich We call management IRENE she said I don’t know. I don’t know where your stuff is. I said where is t Lego and book and my chargers so me clothes. She said I don’t know They did not apologize neither of this. They replace Lego for 10$ instead of 50$ When I said what u goin to do about it she said I don’t know it’s not her fault she said. Irene the manager doesn’t know how to manage the place. More over she asked me to pay for a 3 rd person 3 more night. I said I already paid you the first time I checked in What can I say stay else’ where service is really bad. Very bad service thanks to IRENE Irene

Property is located conveniently to restaurants, scenery and shopping. The property itself is poorly maintained. Filthy carpets, ant infestation, substandard food, etc....we have decided not to stay in another Melia property based on this experience and one in the Dominican in 2015.

A bit of center .clean great staff The gym’s equipment does not make much sense … was not put together by a professional( free weights not over 10 kgs) lacking machines … Spacious hotel , great pool . Reasonably priced dining …. Maybe elevators that you dont wait forever .. front desk fast and efficient ( Salvador ?) I had no car so not sure about parking Nudist Beach few Meters away

Great views and nice property. They were doing some construction and building of new tables which created some drilling noise. A few blocks and you can get shops and restaurants and the views were great. This was offseason but the pool was cold, so skipped the swimming during a nicer warm day.

The hotel sits in a residential area above the port. Take the time to go down there to have drinks or dinner. A relaxed non tourist area. Felt more local. Yes, a short walk into town with views of sea, staff wonderful, pool was not crowded, chairs always available. Rooms clean and spacious. Excellent common areas to relax in. The hotel carpet in hallways need replacement and we felt the landscape and grass around the pool area needed maintenance.

Good typical conference hotel. Well located, a bit away from busy centre but close to beaches and harbour with nice restaurants. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet very good (but needs more yogurt!). Overall installation a bit dated, good do with a refreshment. Rooms clean and comfortable with nice terrace. Hotel overstuffed in restaurant and understaffed at reception.

Excellent hotel and staff were very kind and helpful. We stayed bed and breakfast and the choice for breakfast was excellent. The pool is great for all ages and Sitges town centre and train station is only a short walk. We would stay again.

Very nice hotel, staff very friendly, only bad thing i would say is Airconditioner not working very well in the room, the room is a nice size and bed very comfortable. Beautiful area lots of restaurant and beach walking distance from hotel. We would be back.

We stayed for a week and this hotel was a great base. Reception dealt with us quickly on both arrival and departure. Room was what we expected with toiletries, fresh towels and it was clean with easy access to lifts. Excellent breakfasts with lots of choice and a glass of cava if you wanted it. The egg station was very good and the omelettes fluffy and delicious. We ate in the restaurant one lunch time and the menu was varied and the food excellent. The man who did the beds around the pool was very attentive and always there to help with anything. The sun beds were comfortable and the pool clean and lovely for a quick dip. There were lots of showers around the pool and the surrounding gardens well tended. The cleaning staff were very thorough and our room was tidied up everyday. We found lots of short cuts in to town and used the walk in to get some exercise after a day of lazying around the pool and nibbling on their bar snacks. You could rent an electric scooter if you fancied it, we didn't.
