“Wouldn't consider anywhere else in Tarragona”
Stranded in Tarragona due to volcanic ash cloud so had an extra week in hotel. They put us back in our original room and assured us that the room would be available for as long as we needed it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. we will go back there next year. Dinner was good value for money, we thought.
“Wouldn't recommend it.”
There was construction going on inside and there was debris on the floors in the hallways. We did have a sea view but it was through the fire exit stairway. The hotel wasn't helpful when we asked them to call a taxi so we could take our train they replied just stand on the street and flag one down, which we tried and after 10 minutes of that decided to walk down to the bus station and catch a bus to the train station.
“Second Visit much worse than first - won't return”
Double room was shabby. Soiled sticking plaster (band-aid) on valance for 2 days Electrical socket in bathroom not fixed and wobbled. Lavatory constantly refilling due to faulty ballcock didn't get fixed during 3 night stay. Cigarette burn in shabby armchair. No instructions on how to use phone or facilities of room Filled in a comment form a day before leaving and had no comment back. Emailed on my return, no reply(yet). VERY UNHAPPY. Never saw the free newspapers, dressing gowns etc. We stayed in 2006 and were pleased. Didn't hesitate to book again this time. But won't return. The view of the amphitheatre was great. Pool won't open till October 09.
“Best Location in Tarragona”
We stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2009. Firstly, i phoned the hotel approx week before arrival and they confirmed the pool would be open. Upon arrival we discovered it was not, it was locked and the water and tiles were green with dirt! (yuk!). The tennis courts were open but were in desperate need of repair, the net was about 1ft high! The gardens were not tended and basically the whole outdoor area (except for the front of the hotel) were a disgrace. Our room was lovely, fab view, but make sure you get a seaview room, std rooms face the back and have no nice view at all. Interally, the hotel was fine. We stayed on room only basis, however we did have a continental breakfast in bed one morning, which was very expensive, 1 croissant, 1 sweet roll, 1 bread roll, jam, coffee and 1 o/juice (warm!) for 13e each!!!! However, the location made up for all of this, near the sea with a view of the amphitheatre, catherdral and old town.Overall a good base for exploring Tarragona, would recommend room only though as there are some lovely restaurants, especially in the old town of Tarragona.
“HOTEL HUSA IMPERIAL TARRACO:DA NON PERDERE”
OTTIMA POSIZIONE E OTTIMO RAPPORTO QUALITà/PREZZO.CAMERE MEDIE MA LUSSUOSE,NONOSTANTE "VISTA CITTA" SI POTEVA AMMIRARE LA CITTA VECCHIA, IL MARE E IL FORO ROMANO.PROFESSIONALITà E GENTILEZZA DEL PERSONALE SONO INDISCUTIBILI:HO DIMENTICATO OGGETTO PREZIOSO E MI è STATO RACCOLTO E CONSERVATO!!LA POSIZIONE CENTRALISSIMA PERMETTE DI PARCHEGGIARE L'AUTO E DIMENTICARLA!!
