“Exellent value for money”

The hotel is right on the sea front about 10 mins walk from the rail station. I received a nice welcome from the staff. I had booked one of the penthouse rooms on the top floor which had a view over the town and a side sea view from an enormous balcony with sun loungers and a table with two chairs. The room was clean and comfortable with twin beds, a tv and a fridge. The bath was very small but the shower had good pressure. The many bars shops and cafe/ restaurants of the Sitges promenade are on your doorstep...the hotel itself has the Sportsbar with cafe terrace in which I enjoyed a game of English rugby on the giant screen. I cannot comment on a non penthouse room but mine was superb value for money.

“good hotel”

we had a lovely stay, very well situated. We would reccommend this hotel but think that it was a little noisy and think that it would be very noisy in high season if that bothers you. clean, comfortable nice staff good value

“Great location shame about the staff and lack of room amenities”

I have stated here before in a basic room, this time I decided to stay again but paid more for the penthouse rooms, the website stated there are sea views and refrigerator in the room. NO REFRIGERATOR AND NO SEA VIEWS I asked on check in for the front facing rooms and I was denied this room as I was told it was not ready, I enquirer the following day and I was told there were no guests for that room and I could have this room for additional 35 euros per night. I had already paid for a penthouse room with sea views so why should I pay additional The staff are extremely rude and nit at all helpful.

Sites is a super wonderful place, so peaceful and relaxing, you bust ensure to do your homework on the hotels first as this could spoil your holiday

Getting there

Get the train from BCN airport, get off at EL PRAT, go up the escalators and down to the next platform and get the next train direct to sites Then it's a simple 10 min walk to the hotel

“Great Experience at Subur”

The Subur Hotel is perfectly located in the center of Sitges but still an oceanfront property. We received one of the penthouse rooms with a rooftop terrace facing the ocean and truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff and service was very professional and courteous. My co-traveler forgot something in the hotel and the staff was very friendly even after we had left and forwarded the items to our home address.

“K&P October 2010”

Easy jet flights were horrible but the hotel made up for it with amazing views of the beach and in a great location. Like many Spanish hotels the decor and rooms are basic but clean. Sitges is a beautiful town with great connections to other towns and Barcelona.

Getting there

take any train from the airport and change at El Prat, change platforms and all the trains go to Sitges. on return only 50% of trains from sitges stop at El Prat so check the timetable.

“Loud at night, relaxing by day”

The staff at the Hotel Subur were friendly and accommodating. The beds in some of the rooms were uncomfortable but others were good. If you don't like night life, I wouldn't recommend this location as the music from the nearby bars didn't stop until 6a.m. Great location in terms of beach access and the bar downstairs was a handy meeting place.

The hotel's location is second to none. The hotel itself however is a little tired. An attempt to refurbish the hotel is apparent however it not to an exceptable level. With it's brillant location the hotel has so much potential. Surbur needs someone to come in spend lots of money and return it to its former glory.

“would not go back”

the rooms are ok if a little small and disappointing with very small bathrooms. whatever you do, request a room overlooking the courtyard as it will be a lot quieter. we had a balcony with partial seaviews but as street-facing it was very loud, especially weekend nights and again from 9am when traffic started. the doors are single glazed and dont keep any noise out, so if you want a lie-in, not great. the hotel claims to be 3-star but we stayed in a hotel in barcelona from the same group, also 3-star which was a palace in comparison. purely on the noise levels i would not return and stay at other seafront hotels in sitges we previously stayed in.

the location is perfect as on the seafront and very close to all amenities, but generally sitges is compact and easy to get around by foot. most hotels are within easy reach of each other.

“Will definetly go back.”

Did not expect much, but was extremly please. Apart from noisy neighbours on the second day, but the staff was very helpful and was able to move us to a quieter room. Great location for the beach and town. Will definetly go back there on next stay in Sitges.

Area recommendations

Lots of different parts to the city, could always found somewhere busy or very quiet depending of your mood. Really depending what you are looking for, but overall the city itself can caterer for everyone.
