Location is the reason i stayed on the beachfront and that it was a historical building. It was a little expensive in terms of the smallest and basic rooms, tiny beds and problems with the toilet and elevator. However the staff were wonderful in trying to resolve my access key card that would continue not yo work, hence multiple trips up and down 3 levels of stairs. The beds were firm and the showers were hot and the mini fridge was cold. A very basic room with a nice window view that was slightly expensive. The bar cafe downstairs was extremely handy and the service was ok to forgetful which seemed to match their woes with the elevator, toilet cistern, card reader and efficiency. I would stay again as i understand a bad day/s can happen. Further i think the rooms need some decor updates to add some character, which externally is beautiful.

Great hotel, amazing location and friendly team
The staff were amazing and worked tirelessly for all gusts. Nothing was too much trouble. I like the fact they take security seriously and challenge guests and visitors so prevent theft from rooms which I know has been a problem in Sitges. We had one of the double rooms which was clean and well appointed. I shared with my partner who is also a 6ft 4 and200lbs + so sharing a double bed was not easy or comfortable at times. But I believe bigger rooms and beds are available should you need them.

This is supposedly a smoke free hotel yet one of my rooms was wreaking of smoke and had to get a different one. In my room, although smoke free, during the day and night into early morning, the cigarette smoke from their patio serving area permeated the hotel and came up the hallways. It came into my room and was so bad I could not sleep or breath. I opened the balcony doors but the noise outside, since it was close to the streets and a big concert even, was so bad I could not get peace. So it would be until about 6AM when I could close the balcony doors that I could get a nap in but wasn't much. They need to close the lobby doors, or prohibit smoking on their patio/lobby areas. I won't stay here again and I do plan to return next year to Sitges.

Beach-front stay
The hotel staff were all notably polite and helpful. Two of the three rooms were excellent with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and working equipment. One room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, the bed mattress was worn out, and the tv and phone were broken. Staff did offer to change rooms for one of the two nights as there none available for the second night. The hotel location is superb - right along the beach with views of the ocean of your room includes a balcony.

Great hotel in Sitges
Hotel was convenient to all the great attractions that Sitges has to offer. It was also convenient to both the train station and the bus stop coming from Barcelona city or airport directly. Room was just enough. Bathroom was very clean with great little amenities. A/C worked very well. It's not a 5 start hotel, but it's clean, the staff is great and convenient all around. i would stay here again.

Very conveniently located, very friendly and helpful staff, located right across the street from the beach. As much of Europe is, very compact room, no parking but definitely a fun experience staying in the Sitges are of Barcelona!

Perfect beach front location with friendly staff. The air conditioner in my room quit working and I was moved to a second room with a working air conditiomer, but the bed was like sleering on a bumpy board and there was a foul oder coming from the bathroom that the staff tried to cover with a fragrant disinfective. The tv had only one English speaking channel. It was a cartoon channel. Don't be obsessed with a beach front hotel in Sitgea. Unless you pay big bucks, you are nor going to have an ocean view. There are many hotels a block or two from the beach that offer short walks down quaint interesting streets to the beach.

Excellently Located Hotel
Nice hotel although the room was quite small. Having said that, spotlessly clean and there were some nice little touches in the room on arrival which made it feel special for the price. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Shame I din't have a balcony or sea view but can't really complain as I was hardly ever in the room - only to sleep!

Good value, great location - no breakfast
Stayed in Sitges on my own after discovering it with some friends. Was an "add on" vacation so I needed to stay for a good price. This hotel was in the perfect location - right on the beach- and couldn't beat the price. Don't expect a great filling breakfast or premium bath amenities. Had good AC and bed was comfy.

Last minute booking turned out great!
This is a traditional Spanish hotel located right in the heart of all the action. You couldn't ask for a better location, right next to the beach and where all the convenient restaurants are. My room was clean, small, yet comfortable. I was hardly in it so I didn't ask for much. At night, the front desk is very strict with security. I appreciated it, it made the hotel feel very safe. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Sitges.

I spent two nights, in August, as a single traveller. The Celimar has a small reception close to the breakfast room. The lady on the desk was pleasant and helpful. Room size was decent, with space all the way around the double bed. There was adequate storage for clothes, and a room-safe. It has access to a small balcony, which has a table and two chairs. I would stay at the Celimar again, provided it was available at a competitive rate.

Great location on the beach. Room was a little musty. Overall not bad at all. Very friendly staff. Nice cafe in the lobby to buy breakfast. Would stay here again. Location can't be beat!

We had an amazing trip to Sitges, and stayed here at the Celimar on the beach. The location of this hotel is amazing, just step out of the door, cross the road and you're on the beach. The exterior looks lovely, and there are good hotels nearby. Unfortunately however the cleanliness of the bedrooms was a little poor, we ended up with many tens of bites from bed bugs, and the interior is quite dated. This hotel was probably amazing it's time but could do with a bit of work.

Great place to stay if you want to go to the beach and of you want to go out at night. The hotel has small rooms and small bathrooms but you can't beat the location. A plus is a very good breakfast and very friendly staff. I would stay there again for sure. It's more like a 3 stars hotel overall.

The character of the building and the room are very old. The air vent in the bathroom looked liked it had 10 years of dust on it. The faucet an hair dyer were hard to operate and did not always work properly. The free WIFI could only be used in the lobby and didn't always work. The staff was the best part of the hotel. There was one slender woman with short black hair and glasses that was so kind and fun to talk to. She also made good recommendations. Morning breakfast was nice. Overall, it was a nice place to stay because I had my own room and bathroom with a great location. But not really worth the money unless you get a room with a view.

I have been to Sitges several times before & booked late this time, giving a limited choice of hotels. I knew already the location of this hotel & it looks lovely from the front. It was not bad, but the room was a little poky with no internet access (you can get wifi downstairs) - but was here for business & leisure. The price was a little over I thought compared to the size of the room. Also had to pay Euro 20 / day for parking at their other hotel a few streets away. The location could not be better - though there are several other hotels also nearby, but do not think I would rush back here. No specific complaints - just nothing great either. On the other hand - Sitges is wonderful - vibrant with plenty of great restaurants around - recommended especially - Al Fresco a couple of streets back!

Exceeding expectations in comfort, superb location
This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and quality of service. Personnel more than just helpful and provided friendly and warm approach. Location is magnificent, beach is just across the road and many fine or budget restaurants are in the range of 200m. Beach is of family type, low water levels and clean sand is heaven for small children. Highly advisable for a economy conscious travelers, three stars felt like four in this charming small hotel, although breakfast is average the personnel make up the difference with their warm and charming approach to clients. I'm planning to come back with the rest of my family

We only stayed one night at Hotel Celimar, but wish it could've been more! It was a very nice hotel with a complimentary breakfast buffet. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. I highly recommend this place and hope to return some day.

Good things come in small packages
We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Celimar.It's location on the beach and in walking distance to everything in town, from tourist spots to grocery shopping made it very convenient.The breakfast ,which is included, was a wonderful sampling of the regional cuisine. I even made my own a "Pa amb tomaquet"! The only downside of the hotel is that the rooms are very small for two people.A stand for the suitcases would help utilize the space better. That said, we would choose this hotel again because of the great location and friendly, helpful staff.

Great hotel, location can't be beat...directly across from the beach and close to every point of attraction worth visiting. However, my room, which was on the firt floor, was teeny tiny and a tad noisy on a Saturday night. Given all of this; I can't wait to go back.

Basic hotel, I'd recommend you stayed there as an excellently located base for the beaches and bars, rather than expecting anything from the hotel itself. Tiny bathroom, no kettle, no iron, some surfaces coated with dust, room cleaning pretty basic too (floor swept with brush, toiletries not replaced unless completely empty...). Lovely staff though, breakfast fine, location second to none - however basic the room, it's so nice to walk round the corner to your bed after a night out or after a day at the beach!

Review of The Celimar - Sitges
The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach (opposite), beside the church in the heart of Sitges. The rooms are basic, but clean. The staff are pleasant and accomodating. Sitges is like the San Tropez of Spain. The restuarants and bars are all within walking distance of this hotel.

Lo bueno y lo NO tan bueno de la previa a la Festa
Todo es correcto y aceptable. Pero hay pequeños detalles que determinan al final un maximo grafo de confortabilidad o no. Por ejemplo pides cama matrimonio ( con antelación) y consigues dos cañas individuales relativamente pequeñas que te dicen que están unidas, pero ya os imagináis unidas de esa manera. La caja fuerte dentro del armario en PLENO SUELO con una llave de esas de los piratas que abrían los baúles y con una capacidad mínima. ( el iPad tenía que meterlo en oblicuo y casi no cerraba la puerta. ) Por último y diremos que no es cosa del hotel, instalaron V,S y D zonas de cervezas y un escenario que no dejó de hacer ruido ( aquello no era música) desde las 19,00 hasta las 05,00 de la madrugada. Digo yo , que como actividad organizada el hotel debería dar información de que a 25 metros iba a existir semejante desbarajuste. No vale con que lo ha organizado el ayuntamiento. El lunes nos fuimos y vimos recoger todo mientras nos decían que iban a instalar otro escenario semejante a 50 metros más lejos. Ufffff, que festeja maior les espera !!!!!
