Good choice in Palafrugell
Hotel Garbi has beautiful grounds and a nice pool. A grocery store is very nearby, and it is a short walk (down many steps) to the beach and restaurants. Wifi was spotty in my room, but the front desk loaned me a router, which worked fine.

Stayed here many times. Lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. One day the bar was closed for staff rest which seemed a strange reason. Also, the restaurant was closed at lunchtimes but hotel advertises the restaurant being open for lunch. Given how many good things there are about the hotel, Ill definitely be coming back. Cleaning staff are amazing and work so hard

Great hotel
Overall great hotel in a good location. However, be wary that the hotel is located on a hill, so there’s quite a few steps to get back to your room. The breakfast was really good, staff friendly, the room was recently updated and had a balcony with lovely views. However, we were really disappointed to not have a fridge in the room but they allowed us to keep a few drinks in the reception fridge. Also we managed to borrow a parasol from reception which was very handy. The pool and breakfast area could do with a refresh but still was characterful. In summary, good hotel with free car parking and great breakfast. I would stay here again!

Awesome place close to everything.

The female receptionist during the late afternoon and evening hours is exceptional… The most friendly and helpful we have ever seen. The room was nice, and the view from the Seaview rooms and the balcony was also exceptional. Beautiful grounds and landscaping! There isn’t much immediately off of the property until you get into the village and beach area, which takes 15 minute walk. The trail walks along the coast line is also not to be missed… The water is crystal clear and makes for a nice snorkel. Breakfast was excellent! Not too many negatives here… The Jacuzzi needs to be turned up as it was just lukewarm.

Good location but a bit disappointing
Hotel is on the edge of Palafrugell, a lovely town with good beaches which are only a short walk. Generally we were pleased with the position and breakfast was good. The hotel itself is a little disappointing and needs upgrading and is a little outdated. For example there are no electronic keys, the safe only works with a key and the WiFi is very patchy and was non existent in our room.

Disappointing stay at Hotel Garbi
We had booked a family duplex room and this room is nothing like the nice refurbished rooms shown in the photos. It was very tired and dated. Bathroom had a bath with old shower curtain, however water pressure in the shower was very good. The upstairs bedroom area for our children was most disappointing part. It had a sofa bed with s wafer thin mattress that they could feel every spring in their back. Spiral staircase was not safe and we all bashed our heads on this moving between the Balcony and bathroom. Balcony in the room was very small and not big enough for three family to sit on. Corridor down to restaurant smelled bad and was offputting. On the positive it was a very relaxed atmosphere at the pool area, Jacuzzi was nice and the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was good. Car parking is disorganised and our car was scraped on the bumper while parked there.

We stayed in one of the bungalows which was spacious and beds were comfortable but many of the fittings were quite worn. All plates in the dining room were chipped. Used, dirty glasses were left around pool area for several days without being lifted by staff and the loungers and tables were dirty. With a deep clean and fittings upgrade, this could be a great hotel . Location is great.

Amazing weekend getaway
Really nice and renovated rooms. Location is beautiful walking distance to the centre. Very complete with a very nice pool area. Massage services by the pool (they were great). Good food at the restaurant and live music or cooking shows organized by them .Very friendly staff. Amazing views of the ocean. Highly recommended

Very obliging staff, good value for money hotel, great family-friendly hotel. Excellent spacious duplex room suited our needs perfectly, additional bed provided when we requested it without any fuss, lovely view. Good breakfast.

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Garbi. Our room was clean and spacious with amazing views. We stayed on a Half Board package and the food was excellent. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Affordable hotel in beautiful Palafrugell
Hotel Garbi was in a great location. Our balcony views were nice, the hotel was very affordable and the price included parking and a very nice breakfast. You can walk into town in 10 minutes or less. The hotel could use a little updating but our room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Good but would look at other properties next time
The property was very cute and scenic. The room was plain but big with a great view. Staff was always around to help. The breakfast had lots of options. The 3 cons: the bed had a very firm mattress, the property is high on a hill so walking back from town is a workout and there was an odd smell in the hallways and some of the common areas.
