“Holiday Inn Express Salt”

Hotel was a bit difficult to find and the parking around it is confusing, but is close to the motorway. The staff were friendly and helpful. Internet is 3€ per hour. There is a shopping centre next door, so your evening meal is a short stroll away and it is open until late. The hotel breakfast was free but poor. This is a budget hotel and it shows. The bathrooms are clean and functional and the room is comfortable.

“Small Clean hotel conviniently located next to lots of facilities and Girona's airport”

Rooms are clean and breakfast is OK. Offers a good night rest next to a big shopping mall. Will go back if price is right.

Go to the city center, it's great. City wakes up late on holidays :)

“Girona economy”

In an industrial area by a mall on the outskirts of town. Basic but clean & comfortable with a reasonable breakfast buffet (get there early for the full selection). Rather limited but free parking (I didn't try the underground parking).

Downtown (old city), cathedral, shops, market, restaurants, plenty to see, do, eat & drink.

“Did what it said on the tin”

A very good hotel just off the motorway which is ideal as a base for touring by car. Free parking is available which is a plus. Bright, functional and very clean with good sized comfortable rooms, Buffet breakfast was good if lacking in variety. Proximity to shopping mall with restaurants helped to offset taxi rides necessary to get into Central Gironna, although I understand a regular bus service exists. All staff very helpful and a good standard of English spoken by reception team.

Area recommendations

The area to the East of the river is best with lots of historic and interesting streets and alleyways. This area came to life as the evening wore on and the many pavement bars and cafes became busier. Good value at most with friendly helpful service

“Excellent rapport qualité/prix proche de Girona”

cet hôtel tout neuf, moderne, propose des chambres confortables avec une Salle de bain super équipée l'accueil est charmant, les hôtesses sont disponibles et de bon conseil proche de la sortie d'autoroute, il est facile à trouver et on rejoint la ville de Girona en 10 mn par une voie rapide

“Estancia de una noche en una habitación triple”

Todo muy bien, la cama supletoria muy bien, posibilidad de prepararte te o café el la habitación, el desayuno muy bueno. Eché de menos un minibar. Situado muy cerca de gasolinera y centro comercial. reñlación calidad precio excelente.

Hotel très agréable mais l'accès au vieux gérone n'est pas évident et l'environnement fait très "zone commerciale' moderne. Point positif: accès très facile depuis l'autoroute.

“Hôtel proche de l'aéroport Ryanair de Girone”

Accueil très correct, petit déjeuner mis à disposotion à 6h du matin alors que l'horaire normal est à 7h, prix attractif pour famille (chambre de 4, petit déjeuner compris), hôtel situé sur un centre commercial (idéal pour ramener des produits espagnols) et à 5 minutes en voiture de l'aéroport low cost de Girona.
