Overall, this was very pleasant hotel with a great location for shopping and for taking public transportation. The staff was very helpful at all times and the rooms were always clean and very functional.
Perfect location for me, in between two metro stations (underground). Eateries and shops galore on the high street. The staff were extremely polite and nice. My room was very clean. Very impressed with free wifi. Room was cleaned everyday. Would recommend it to anyone anytime
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was very good, just a little small, but had everything one needed for a short stay. Breakfast was buffet style but plentiful and the coffee is excellent. The hotel location is perfect for a visit to Milan - there is a metro stop just across the road but we prefer to walk and everything is within walking distance, giving you the opportunity to see the city.
Don't go expecting the insipid, uniform, blandness one comes to expect in big hotel chains, you need to pay a lot more for that. This is a small, pleasant, quirky hotel in a side road off the Corso Buenos Aires.
I was aware of the metro trains faintly rumbling underneath after 5.30 am, but I am told by a friend, that they would still be heard from a room on the 100th floor in any hotel! Pleasant staff, super Pizzeria restaurant and café just around the corner to satisfy one's appetite. The stairwell was being freshly repainted, and (at least) a couple of the bedrooms were being refurbished while I was there.
"Polite staff; close to city centre/shopping/train"
We had a nice stay. Hotel staff were polite and spoke English well. The lobby was nice, our room slightly less so. Some of the hallways were a bit run down. We were close to the city centre, shopping, subway, and train station. And the price was right.
Hotel Serena is situated at a short distance from Milan's financial centre, right at the corner of Corso Buenos Aires and …More
Close to the historic centre, this is one of the largest commercial main roads, and is well served by the metro. It has a cosmopolitan feel and brims with ethnic restaurants. It is also an important shopping centre and just a short distance from the fabled designer district, the 'quadrilatero'. Nearby too is the Castello Sforzesco, famous for Michelangelo's last work, the Pietà Rondanini.
