“good value”

A clean basic hotel, a little far from the beach, nice pool, and basic continental breakfast

“Great Place To Stay”

This is a very nice and economic place to stay on the island. Close to the gulf beach and other fishing spots. I have stayed at this location five or six times now at all times of the year. I take my teenage sons or just go myself to get away for a couple of days. Nothing too fancy but all I really use the room for is sleeping. When the kids are with me we really enjoy the pool area. It's very nice with an area to cookout and we always do. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and they have an answer to just about anything you might need to know about things to do and places to go.

“Returning in August”

OK, do the math. We came for the beach, surf, and loads of fun and we got just that. The money saved was used for boogie boards, skim boards, tubes, and canopy. The kids and parents had a blast! The room was perfect, the AC worked, refrigerator worked, microwave worked, showers worked, cable TV worked, toilet flushed. We tip housekeeping well and they took care of us. If scheduling works out, we'll be back in August. Money saving is during the week, weekend rates skyrocket, thus, we book during the week, Mon-Fri. Take sun burn precautions and wear swim shirts.

“Just okay”

We were looing for a place to stay close to the beach that didn't break the bank. The room was a typical motel room- nothing fancy, the pool was a nice place to relax in the evenings. Breakfast was very basic. We had two complaints about the place, the carpet nails in the bathroom doorway poked us in the feet and the maids were inconsiderate; They knocked and tried to come in at 9:00 while my husband was still sleeping and the next day they didn't even knock and opnened the door while we were all still laying in bed!

“staff was friendly”

The staff was friendly and always helpful. The place was mostly clean, but I found two dead roaches in the bathroom. The convenience (location) was great!

“Would Stay Again”

We were overall satisfied with our stay, except the A/C for a while would make some unusual noise and we did not know if it would make it through the night, but it did quit and all was good. Overall it was a nice stay, and I would stay there again.

“Go for the beach experience”

Not a lot of bells and whistles with this hotel. We went for the beach expericence, so we did not spend too much time in the room. We checked in at 4:00 and the staff was nice and welcoming and the room was ready. All we had to do was turn on the AC and within 1/2 an hour it was cool and comfortable. The beach is really close by you can get their in 2 minutes if you drive. By 5:00 we were enjoying the beach and stayed til 7:00, just in time to take a shower and then get a bite to eat. In the morning we had their continental breakfast, which was a little of a let down. All they had good to eat was waffles and coffee, and a small amount of fruit. It could be better, but it hit the spot. Checked out by 10:30 and enjoyed the rest of the day by the beach.

“Expensive!”

Expensive place to stay for a place that the door bareley latches, the toilet continues to run until you manually pull the flush handle up, no globe over the light fixture only a bulb hanging, in the room next door there was constant yelling and screaming at the kids of which appeared to be permenant residents based on how much stuff was piled in the room that I saw when the door was open. In the morning there was a barking dog outside my room with people yelling back and forth non-stop for at lease a half hour. And then to top it off, a muffin and an empty coffee pot is not breakfast. Look elsewhere.
