“Ok, not great”

Clean, out dated, only had smoking rooms available. Not in great area.

“Glad I did not pay attention to reviews!”

I booked the "unlisted" hotel room, of course not knowing what to really expect. After paying for our stay the name of the hotel came up and that is when I was able to get a good look at what I had booked. All of the reviews were not very good and I thought "oh well" its just a place to sleep, we will be gone most of the time..." So not expecting much we left for our trip and arrived about 10 p.m. at our LaQunita. The lobby was clean and inviting, the front desk person was extremely nice. They were full and we had booked a king room, actually got a king suite since that was the room that was available. The room was very spacious, clean. For the super deal we got... you bet I would book this again! The hotel personel are very helpful and again the place was clean... the pool left a bit to be disired, but we were very happy with our stay..we were more interested in the beach than the pool anyway. Yes it is an older hotel but we stayed in San Antonio the last night of our trip...pd more at a Super 8 that was newer...the room was very small after being at our LaQuinta for 4 days! Don't be afraid of the LaQuinta Corpus Christi North. You are close enough to everything..save your money here to spend on other things! :o)

“good but...”

A Good place for a good price. The only drawback was a hint of that "smell" maybe a smoking room sometime ago.

The hotel was adquate for the price. The rooms were well maintained and the bed comfortable. There was a Denny's resturant next door but the service was lousy on my visit.

TV reception was not clear Shower head was short not recommended for a tall person.

“Not as Advertised”

I can't complailn about the hotel itself because it was a La Quinta and I know it is a pretty good chain. My complaint is that I did not get what was shown online. I know I got a good deal but my impression was that I was getting 3 suites with sofas, a microwave and a fridge. What I got was 3 rooms with double beds. Please keep in mind that we had 2 children along that are under a year old. When I asked the front desk the lady lied to me and tild me that they only had 2 suites in this La Quinta which was an Inn and that only the ones that are hotels have suites. She also told me that as a rule they only have microwaves in the suites. Maybe I should have made a bigger fuss but we just made do with what we had. This inn is also at least 3 miles from the beach in an industrial area.

“need work & could be better”

my room had a microwave and a coffee maker that didn't work, The refrigerator was leaking water, the toilet didn't flush if you didn't stay there to hold down the flusher, the sink was draining slow and had some black gunk under the faucet, the breakfast was great but you had to come in as early as possible to beat the line for the waffle and the toaster. The tasted great once you got to get it together. The bed was clean, the pool was clean and the room was mostly clean. The people at the front desk were very nice. And last but not least the room would be a great room if it only had working things in it, i guess that's maintenance. I am going to stay at a La Quinta hotel in San Antonio, this weekend and I HOPE I get a room with working stuff. But they already told me that none of the rooms have microwaves and thats a bummber because we like to make popcorn while we are watching movies.

“Nice staff, but lots of mold/mildew in shower.”

Hotel is in a dingy, industrial part of Corpus Christi. I was there on business, so this was OK for me, but definitiely not a nice place to be if you were going on a vacation. Convenient access to a small market nearby and a couple of restaurants, all within 1/2 block. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was mostly clean and well maintained, except for the shower curtain, which was black with with mold, that came off on you if you touched it. That was gross and disturbing. The carpet was worn. Internet access worked, but was not very high speed. It was sufficient for my business needs.

“Reasonably priced, nothing special”

The rooms were clean, and staff was pleasant. The grounds and outside were a little rundown. It was fine for the price.

“NASTY SMELL”

When we got into our room, first of all the outside of the hotel needs a major face lift, we had 3 rooms 1 room was good the other 2 rooms 1 of them the tub look like it had not been cleaned it had hair and dirt are sand in it the other OMG smelled so bad and flies where in there OMG it was awful the front desk lady was very sweet about it she changed our rooms which was a big difference it was very clean. Dont know if I would ever stay there again maybe if it would get a face lift and new ice machines the ice machines look like they all had slime......
