“Disappointed”

I was very disappointed with the hotel. The following were the issues that I saw. 1) No trash bags for trash cans - I asked an employee & response was we do not have trash bags for the room, we just have large trash bags. 2) Toilet would not flush all the way and it was slow when flushing. 3) Shower head did not have for a messager. 4) Rug in the rooms looked like they have not been vacumed in months. 5) Curtains were dirty 6) Breakfast had a line for the waffles, because they did not want to put the non stick cooking spray out and the waffles were getting stuck and it was hard to get the waffles out. I asked an employee why is the spray not next to the waffle maker & her response is because of management , cooking spray was on the desk. This was the first time I have seen a hotel, keeping the cooking spray on the desk. 7) Bath tub mat was black instead of white. For the price it was not worth staying & I know I will never stay there again. The way the map printed out it looked like we were going to be on the beach. Very disappointed with stay

“Not as Advertised”

I can't complailn about the hotel itself because it was a La Quinta and I know it is a pretty good chain. My complaint is that I did not get what was shown online. I know I got a good deal but my impression was that I was getting 3 suites with sofas, a microwave and a fridge. What I got was 3 rooms with double beds. Please keep in mind that we had 2 children along that are under a year old. When I asked the front desk the lady lied to me and tild me that they only had 2 suites in this La Quinta which was an Inn and that only the ones that are hotels have suites. She also told me that as a rule they only have microwaves in the suites. Maybe I should have made a bigger fuss but we just made do with what we had. This inn is also at least 3 miles from the beach in an industrial area.

“need work & could be better”

my room had a microwave and a coffee maker that didn't work, The refrigerator was leaking water, the toilet didn't flush if you didn't stay there to hold down the flusher, the sink was draining slow and had some black gunk under the faucet, the breakfast was great but you had to come in as early as possible to beat the line for the waffle and the toaster. The tasted great once you got to get it together. The bed was clean, the pool was clean and the room was mostly clean. The people at the front desk were very nice. And last but not least the room would be a great room if it only had working things in it, i guess that's maintenance. I am going to stay at a La Quinta hotel in San Antonio, this weekend and I HOPE I get a room with working stuff. But they already told me that none of the rooms have microwaves and thats a bummber because we like to make popcorn while we are watching movies.

“Glad I did not pay attention to reviews!”

I booked the "unlisted" hotel room, of course not knowing what to really expect. After paying for our stay the name of the hotel came up and that is when I was able to get a good look at what I had booked. All of the reviews were not very good and I thought "oh well" its just a place to sleep, we will be gone most of the time..." So not expecting much we left for our trip and arrived about 10 p.m. at our LaQunita. The lobby was clean and inviting, the front desk person was extremely nice. They were full and we had booked a king room, actually got a king suite since that was the room that was available. The room was very spacious, clean. For the super deal we got... you bet I would book this again! The hotel personel are very helpful and again the place was clean... the pool left a bit to be disired, but we were very happy with our stay..we were more interested in the beach than the pool anyway. Yes it is an older hotel but we stayed in San Antonio the last night of our trip...pd more at a Super 8 that was newer...the room was very small after being at our LaQuinta for 4 days! Don't be afraid of the LaQuinta Corpus Christi North. You are close enough to everything..save your money here to spend on other things! :o)

“Great Price; Good Service”

This hotel was located right off the freeway; easy to navigate to the location. There was a Denny's next door, but other eateries required a little drive. The hotel staff were all friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The only problem I noticed was that my room was directly next to the housekeeping room/laundry facilities, so we heard noises from there area and always had to walk around their carts when exiting our hotel room. Breakfast had a wide variety, which was good for a continental breakfast. I left some belongings behind in my room and the staff shipped them out to me the next day. Overall, a very good stay.
