“Fantastic Location for visitng Cornwall”
This is a delightful family run hotel in an excellent location giving easy access to the towns on the South Coast, Eden project, and the North (Padstow etc). The breakfast is top quality and the staff are friednly and helpful. We had a lovely stay.
“Fab B&B!”
We had a superior room for the weekend and that meant an extremely comfortable four poster bed! It was sooooo hard to get out of it in the morning to go and visit the places we'd planned to see. The shower was excellent too with a very powerful flow. The landlady was lovely and always ready to help with anything we needed. Very good breakfast too! Great location if you have a car as kind of in the middle of the region. Those 2 days were so nice that we decided to go back next year on a proper holiday and we will be requesting the same room! I would recomment this place without any kind of reservation!
“The good reviews are spot on”
I booked this hotel because it's an ex-Abbey, and it had good reviews. We arrived on a sunny day and the owner took us on a mini-tour and gave us a potted history; the building is 600 years old. The sign for the hotel is really small; it's easy to miss. The room was beautiful and well-appointed; despite being next to a busy road, it was quiet and really comfortable. We slept soundly and didn't want to leave! The only fault is that there is nothing around the hotel; we were there on a Saturday night and Bodmin was empty. There didn't look like a lot of options for dinner.
“Lovely place”
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. A lovely feel to the place. Would love to go there again!
“Would absolutely return.”
Quite despite the main road, fabulously comfortable bed (go for the superior rooms and the four posters - well worth the extra few quid) and lovely, friendly, helpful staff
“Benets Abbey.. thumbs up!”
If you like old buildings this is a lovely old abbey which was very clean with lovely staff which where very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of excellent breakfast which was beauitfully cooked. Location perfect for visiting cornwall. We would definately stay again :)
“Historic Abbey: Cordial staff”
Very friendly staff, assisted with our baggage up to the room. The room was very well decorated, with decor which matched with the historic house.

Bodmin Moor, England, United Kingdom: This relatively remote, wild upland area attracts walkers searching the highest points of Cornwall, namely the tors (rock outcrops) of Rough Tor and Brown Willy.
