See all #### TripAdvisor ReviewsMade famous by the celebrated authoress, Daphne du Maurier, and ranked as one of the UKs most desirable locations, the pretty town of Fowey is a delight to explore. Clusters of characterful buildings, cottages and shops tumble down the hillside to rub shoulders with those stacked along the curving main street, which runs parallel to the Fowey estuary. Shopping is fun, with a variety of independent specialist shops, galleries and delicatessens - with not a high street name in sight. The town is a most pleasant walk from end to end; to be taken at a reasonable dawdle, in order not to miss a bit as there are some wonderful surprises just round every corner. With all this charm on one hand and wonderful water vistas on the other, it’s no wonder all who visit Fowey are enchanted by it - and The Fowey Hotel, with its perfect views over the town, the estuary and the sea, is the perfect place from which to explore it all! From here you can venture east or west along the South West coast path and walk for miles or drive no more than a short distance, to visit the numerous sights and attractions situated in this lush, verdant area of Cornwall.

“Wonderful sea views and very good value”
- Sea views wonderful from bar, lounge and dining room. Well worth a few pounds extra to have sea view from bedroom also. - Service was very good and very friendly - right from the welcome pot of tea brought to our room. - Dinner and breakfasts at hotel excellent but also consider King of Prussia pub for a Sunday lunch that is good value and more interesting than standard 'pub grub'
“Traditional comforts”
This is a very well updated traditional hotel. ibn a magificent position with spendid views of the harbour. Staff are helpful and everything is well organised but in a friendly and relaxed way. Breakfasts are good; did not try other meals - plenty of choice in town, which is a very convenient level walk from the hotel. We will be returning.
