“Reasonable hotel, good spot.”
Close to the airport, all as you would expect from a travelodge but it does have a great US diner style restaurant attached. Plenty of parking and wifi ticks all the boxes...
“Basic but comfortable”
Convenient to the airport. Car parking in evening can be a bit of a hassle due to the adjacent restaurant. Room I had was pretty basic, but being only for sleeping was satisfactory. Pillows were pretty flimsy. Staff pleasant and courteous
“Cheap and cheesy”
The cost of the stay was not much and as such, much should not be expected. It was clean, clean towels on the second day of our two night stay. The furniture in the room was more than expected - a large sofa, a chair as well as a double bed. The chair and sofa, however each had a hole in and the bathroom was very dated. The towels were thin and at least one was threadbare in places. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the stay but realise we didn't pay too much so can't expect too much. Be warned, the breakfast is extra as it is in a cheesy US diner, it's fine if you like fried breakfast. There is not restaurant for evening meals unless you want to revisit the diner.
“ONLY FOR THE PROXIMITY OF THE AIRPORT.”
Hotel was good and comfortable, staff very helpful. Our mistake not doing enough research of where the Hotel was and not finding out what town did the best breaks for the traditional Irish music. If you want Irish music do your research. Maybe because it was November, extremely cold and too far away from the city centre, we were dissapointed.
“Pretty basic, close to airport, good restaurant attached.”
The staff were friendly but the rooms are basic, though only as you would expect from a Travelodge. My first room smelt horrible with smoke, but I was quickly moved and the second, though still a little smelly, was better. The restaurant does great american diner style food next door and its all very convenient for the airport...
“plain but tidy”
the hotel is very much a typical travelodge in that it is a low rise american style layout on the edge of town. In this case right on the new road into Cork it was however well soundproofed so no issues with noise. HOwever staying here you need a car as the nearest bus stop is a good walk up a steep hill and the surrounding area is very much industrial estate. The rooms were well sized and the bathroom had an excellent powershowe/bathand the staff were pelasant and helpful, my only criticism is the rip off internet pricing but that is consistent with all Travelodges
