Great location and the staff is incredibly friendly and will do what it takes to make your stay enjoyable. Several options included in the free breakfast. Beds were comfortable with ample pillows. We didn't have great wifi in our rooms, but didn't report it, so I wouldn't have expected them to do anything about it without knowing about our issue. Also wish they had a hot tub. Grateful for the availability of parking, but there are alot of people that use the amenities of the hotel (pool mainly, I assume), so it gets a little crowded at times, but we always found a spot. Overall, I would gladly stay there if I'm ever in the area again!

A hidden gem
Fantastic hotel from the outside its very decieving. A real tardus inside. Very clean, all staff from reception, to restaurant, to breakfast were excellent. Excellent size room and very clean. The only constructive comment would be that the ensuites and bedrooms, landings etc could be updated, but that wouldn't put me off coming back.

Overall our stay was fairly satisfactory. Room just fair. Food excellent. We had prepaid for our accommodation so we were very disappointed & annoyed when on checking out we were presented with another bill for our stay.. Also, the staff member noted that we’d been celebrating both my husband’s & my birthdays- a bit late to notice this when we were leaving. It would have been nice for this to have been recognised with some token during our stay. Overall a bit disappointed with our stay. More attention to detail needed.

I had booked 4 nights for a business trip but had to leave 2 nights early was told but the receptionist I would have to contact Expedia about refund and when spoke with Expedia they said hotel had refused to refund at least one nights stay , room wise was big and bed was ok restaurant was good and breakfast was good

Very friendly and helpful staff…we were going to be late arrivals 8.45 and rang hotel to let them know and were told food finishes at 8.15 and offered to keep us a chicken curry or sandwiches. Really nice breakfast. Stayed in the Castle many times over the years and it never disappoints

Historic Hotel with Good Amenities
This was a good option for staying outside of Cork without being too far away for a drive into the city. The hotel was a little hard to find -they could stand to improve their signage. Parking was readily available once you knew where it was at, which was great. The hotel is large, but be forewarned, they do hold events there and there was a loud party that lasted into the wee hours one of the nights we were there. The room was HUGE by European standards - as an American I was quite comfortable.

Best customer service in County Cork
We were pleasantly surprised with the Castle Hotel in Macroom. The customer service was as good as a 5* hotel anywhere. The food was excellent. And thankfully we had air conditioning which was great because we were there during the 2021 heat wave.

Fantastic stay in the Castle Hotel. ALL staff were friendly and professional from start to finish. They couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing - far better than usual hotel fare and very reasonably priced. Macroom is a diamond of a town. Every amenity within walking distance and a stunning river walk by the golf course ending in a beauty spot perfect for paddling and photo opportunities. We can't wait to go back!

Great place to stay. Best staff ever!
This is a wonderful place to stay. The parking is right next to the hotel. They have a lovely swimming pool. The hotel is older and the Fatima is beautiful. The bar offers a variety of food and spirits. Breakfast is made to order at your request. The staff is very accommodating and extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, the beds were comfortable, there is air-conditioning And bottles of water and provided in your room. Porters are available on request. They are very friendly and take great care with your luggage.

Great stay in Macroom
The hotel has a lot of history attached to it. The staff was amazing. We ended up having a dead car battery the next morning and Katherine, the hotel manager, called a tow truck for us and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to continue on with our travels. Hotel restaurant was fantastic for dinner and then breakfast the next morning. My family loved the pool.
