If you need to find peace and tranquility then the Trident Hotel is THE Place to do it. It is a lovely Hotel, away from the village center, but within easy walking distance. The views are breathtaking...and the staff very polite and helpful.
Central location. Spacious room by European standards. Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely wonderful breakfast! The restaurant downstairs serves great meals with live music. Crowd is a mix of tourists and locals, makes for good conversation. All around great value!
Arrived two hours late with my wife who has mobility issues - cannot handle stairs - and mentioned this to the very pleasant lady in reception. She said that we had been allocated a top floor room, but immediately asked us to inspect a ground floor room. Very acceptable.
Large room with half-tester king bed, fitted wardrobe, high boy drawers, dressing table and two very large tub chairs - all antiques in excellent condition. Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Large bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Also a separate sitting room with a function able kitchen, 4-chair dining table and sofa with two arm chairs - modern Scandinavian design in leatherette. Outside a private patio with aluminum table and chairs. All very nice.
Had contact during out stay with several staff members who werE unfailingly friendly, helpful and courteous. Delightful. We left an iPad charger behind and the house staff found it and sent me an email before I had noticed it missing! It was mailed to a future stopover. Thank you.
Parking was tight, but they had managed to fit in about 20 spaces on a difficult, steep hillside site. We had no difficulties. Views out over the harbor were spectacular.
Good choice in the breakfast room with those ever friendly and helpful staff. My personal preference would have been for slightly "less processed" style of sausages, but that's my taste.
We just came back from a 3 night stay at The Maldron Hotel & Leisure Centre in Cork city.
The family room was very spacious, modern & clean. The swimming pool & steam/sauna room were an added bonus given the inclement weather. The hotel is ideally located close to the city centre & Shandon.
Great hotel to stay. Love a large bathroom. The only concern is that I can't get the hot water to run early in the morning. I took a cold shower instead after 5 minute of waiting..!!! Ireland plumbing system is very poor as we all know.
Very comfortable hotel and has ocean front view. Highly recommended.
