“OK except for the noise”
I hardly slept as there were people going from one room to another for most of the night. The constant hysteria, slamming of doors and screams coupled with the complete indifference of the hotel staff to the problem made this a very unpleasant experience.
“Rated 4 star don't believe it!!”
Staff was polite is the best I can say about this dive. Needs dramatic updating. Mattress older than I am. Stay at your own risk.
“Nice hotel, good service”
The hotel was slightly out of town, which might not suit everyone, however it was comfy and well decorated, and the staff friendly and polite. We didn't use the fitness centre facilities, so cannot comment on those. If you are only visiting for a couple of days as we were, you might want to pick somewhere closer into town, but if this doesn't bother you, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Staff needs to learn manners”
There is no a/c in this hotel and the only bedding is a heavy duvet. Our duvet had blood on it so I'm sure the only thing changed out on the bed is the fitted sheet & pillow case. Also, the front desk reception need a quick lesson on manners. I practically had the receptionist calling me a liar & thief when I told her that we paid for our breakfast prior to checkout. She actually made the lady we paid ID me to prove that I did pay. I wouldn't stay here again.
“Hotel Nestled in Bluffs Overlooking the City”
I had a decent stay at the Montenotte but it had all the makings of what should have been a better one. The staff was not that friendly and did not go out of their way to assist you, especially in the in-house restaurant. For dinner one night I felt unwelcome and during a breakfast I was seated and never attended to again (maybe because I was a party of one??). The hotel gives the appearance of class but that's probably all it is, an appearance. It lacks the warmth and friendliness that would make it something special. It has a nice location but the view over the city isn't that special since it overlooks the industrial portion of the harbor (unless you like smoke stacks). ;) If staying with a family be cautious about drives/walks down Middle Glanmire Road. Very tight in places and some areas look a little "rough".
“Für 4 Sterne waren wir sehr enttäuscht”
Leider können wir nicht nachvollziehen wo die 4 Sterne herkommen. Vielleicht haben wir auch nur die "billigen Plätze" erwischt. Eingecheckt, Gepäck einen Stock hochgetragen, durch zwei lange Zimmerkorridore durchgelaufen, Aufzug wieder einen Stock runter und wieder 1,5 Korridore durchlaufen. Also 5 Min. mind. bis man überhaupt am Zimmer ist und mit Gepäck viel länger. Zimmer an sich okay aber für 4 Sterne hätte ich mehr erwartet, 2 Einzelbetten wie bestellt, Wasserkocher und Kaffee/Tee. Abzug im Bad funktioniert nicht, keine Toilettenbürste. Zu Fuß ca. 15 - 20 Min. in die Stadt, zum Bus ca. 5 Min. die Straße runter.

fühlte mich auch als Alleinreisende wohl und bekam stets unterstützung bei Anfragen.

IL personale è molto cortese.L'hotel è pulito ma ha bisogno di una seria revisione: moquette lisa,grigia per l'uso anche se pulita tutti i giorni nei corridoi, pitture degli infissi e delle pareti da rifare.La mia stanza, dove sono stata 15 gironi, era ordinata e nuova, con bella vista e bel bagno.Mancava internet anche se doveva essere incluso nell'offerta:ho dovuto pagarlo a parte( ma mi verrà restituito l'importo). Ristorante con prezzi abbordabili rispetto alla zona,molto monotono nella proposta, ma del resto a Cork le alternative non sono moltissime.Parcheggio disponibile, c'è un centro fitness a disposizione. L'hotel sta in cima ad una collina, ci vogliono 15 minuti di discesa e 20 di salita per raggiungere il ponte che vi porta in centro, ma anche se la pendenza è significativa si può fare.Altrimenti autobus 8 dall'incrocio Saint Luke Cross a 3 minuti dall'hotel, e in pochi minuti siete in centro
“Alles in allem sehr lohnenswert”
Das auf einem Hügel gelegene Hotel bietet einem eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die Stadt Cork. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr gepflegt, das neu eröffnete Spa, das wir leider aufgrund unserer späten Ankunft und frühen Abfahrt nicht nutzen konnten, viele Möglcihkeiten. Leider war das Frühstücksbuffet nicht sehr reichhaltig und sehr auf das irische Frühstück konzentriert. Die Hotelbar wurde abends zu einem quirligen Treffpunkt der Hotelgäste. Alles in allem ein sehr lohnenswerter Aufenthalt.
