This property was in a short way from the beach so is better for people with transportation however we hired a scooter for a few days which was good enough for us. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough it’s not a top of the range hotel but they more than make up for this in service. The large pool was amazing

Paradise Inn
The hotel was still closed from the winter season when I arrived. The hotel had not, to my knowledge, attempted to contact me to tell me that I would not be able to stay there. I’d made the booking some time in advance of my planned stay. This was a problem for me as I’d selected the hotel as it was reasonably close to my route, as I was on a walking holiday. I eventually found a chamber maid, the only person there, but it was apparent that the hotel was some days off being ready to be occupied. The chamber maid was helpful and contacted someone who said I was to be driven, by her, to another hotel. This was approximately 10 miles away and way off my walking route. On arrival at the new hotel I negotiated that someone would take me, the following day, to a convenient place for me to resume my walking route. This was, I felt, reluctantly agreed by the hotel. I was looking forward to using the swimming pool at (both) the hotel, but the new hotel’s had no water in it when I arrived. They started to fill it soon after my arrival - clearly it would not be ready for my use. The new hotel was pleasant, a little out of the way for local facilities, and the reception staff were helpful.

High expectations, but disappointing
I was expecting a 3rd bed in the room and not a camp bed, which was only suitable for a child under the age of 14. When I booked the room through Expedia it was made clear that we were a family of 2 adults and a 16 year old. The hotel staff did offer to change rooms at an additional cost per night, but I was not prepared to pay more. We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and the family who ran it, were very friendly and helpful, so we were expecting the same experience. When we arrived the staff were too busy talking to each other to acknowledge that we were waiting to check in. There was no information on whether or not evening meals were available, whereas last time there themed nights for meals. The hotel catered more for running a bar, rather than being family orientated and so was noisy all night and every night. We therefore did not spend any extra money at the hotel. The pool was surrounded by bees/wasps, which ruined the enjoyment of the pool.

My initial reaction was that it is somewhat remote, but this came to be a bonus as I was walking to various locations, the positive meant my fitness improved. I also had the opportunity to speak with local people to get to learn their point of view for the area. Unfortunately as it is coming to the end of the Holiday season, I was transferred to a sister Hotel, in the Across Hotels Group as Maintenance work was to start a week early than planned. The Silver Bay Hotel in Kontakali, I was told this was a better quality Hotel, I am afraid to say my opinion differs. The initial reaction was positive but once you get to the rooms I am afraid the standard of quality nosedives. A distinct lack of investment in general maintenance comes to light. The cleaning staff are OK but it is the lack of maintenance that lets the Hotel down.

Improvement required
Hotel nearly 2 kilometres from beach and restaurants. Road not very safe on foot or pedal bike. Heard well located if you're planning on trips to villages by vehicle. Taxis very expensive but can book the shuttle bus online for transfer to and from airport. Buses are 2 kms away and dont run that often to Corfu Town and Paleokastratis etc. Asked about supper on first day and told better to inform them if want day before. Supper appears to be whatever is left over from their other hotel. Eventually provided with 3 chicken wings and a plate of spaghetti with no discernable sauce cost 8 euros. A cup of very small tea 2 euros. A glass of wine 2 or 3 euros. Noted can get a carafe of wine in Arios restaurant for 3 euros. Breakfast generally dull one type of cheese and spam. Usually hard boiled eggs occasional fried. If there is asniff of bacon you need to be quick. An omelette would have been appreciated. A couple of breakfsst cereals. No toast. In room A/c wouldn't budge under 17 degrees. TV only Greek no English movie option. Internet access variable. No tea or coffee with kettle and dont bother asking. Cleaning staff noisy shouting in the mornings. Room is kept clean and beds made. Pillow rock hard. Music from pool area audible most of day and night although improved at end of week as volume reduced after 9 pm. Wouldn't return as it stands.

Hotel in a good position on the island.
We hired a car and saw much of the island. People friendly, tavernas offered good food, portion sizes a bit big, we never made it to a dessert course! Some lovely beaches and sights and we enjoyed our day in Corfu town Sadly roads in a poor state and a lot of rubbish - bins overflowing and fly tipping. Liapades, the closest beach looked good but had a sewage outflow on one side and smelt terrible.

2 weeks @ Corfu
Definitely this is 3 star hotel but definitely doesn't worth 1800 Euros I paid for 14 days (2+1 beds,BB).Also depends what room you will get. On arrival we got something that you cannot call a room, more like a refurbished cave. After serious complain, next morning, we got a better, normal, room. Hotel is based in the "middle of nowhere" and transport vehicle is mandatory. No sea view , just a hill across the road. The benefit is very pleasant temperature over night - no need for AC even during August. Breakfast is "first come first served basis", and if you come late you will miss most of the food and drink. Parking is nice and safe. Staff is polite and friendly. Internet is working pore , even for simple e-mails.Rooms are clean with fridge operating. Old fashion CTR TV, with lot of cables hanging around.Pool is OK, but with lot of bees all around - must be very careful when entering/leaving.

A 50/50 experience
We stayed here for 10 days using it as a base to see the Corfu area. The hotel is sufficient if you plan to go out everyday, offering basic clean rooms and a reasonable breakfast. But if you want a relaxing pool/beach experience with good food and drinks at hand, I would recommend looking at other hotels in Corfu. Please note the hotel is not within the Lipades town (as shown on Google Maps) - you WILL need a vehicle to get around! Our first 2 days weren't the best at the hotel - there was hardly any food left at breakfast (no replenishments) despite arriving there with more than 1 hour left. I had to keep asking for breakfast items and cutlery; plates were left on the tables despite staff walking in and out of the room. I had to clean the table and plates away before we sat down - so first impressions were not great. On our first evening, we had dinner at the hotel and sent both dishes away as they were cold. It turned out my dish was frozen in the middle, and they only make 1 fresh meal a day. After the first 2 days, we complained to the manager; the service did improve thereafter (including breakfast). The hotel has a lot of potential, but it's under staffed and needs more training and direction. The hotel is fine if you paid budget price, plan to go out during the day, and just do a B/B deal.

Excellent base for touring & great pool to relax
A very enjoyable week at the end of August spent at the Paradise Inn. The staff running the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout. The hotel was never busy even with all rooms taken and the pool, cleaned meticulously every day, was often empty with loungers always available. Other visitors were mainly middle-aged couples with few children around, presumably due the hotel's remote location. For a family, hiring a car is essential which can be easily done in advance online - although quad bikes and scooters seemed to be the choice for many couples. The breakfast provided was a bit basic and repetitive but the fridges provided in all our rooms meant it was easy to supplement with milk and fruit from the nearby supermarkets. The hotel itself was very peaceful and the piped pool music also quiet. The best rooms were at the back, away from the road, looking out onto an old olive orchard.

Noisy Music
Do not think as some previous reviews suggest that this is a family run hotel. It isnt.It has been taken over by a company and whilst the staff are eager to please and work tirelessly when the hotel is busy they struggle to cope.A vehicle is a must.A road (not a busy one but with fast moving traffic none the less)runs directly in front of the hotel so walking along there in safety, especially at night is not recommended( and in any case the hotel is quite a distance from other attractions)On booking this hotel I requested a quiet upper floor room.We were eventually allocated a ground floor room which was located within metres of the pool bar and its powerful and noisy music speakers.(more olater)On arrival during the specified booking in time we were told there would be a delay in our room being ready. We would be told it would be an hour.So we enjoyed the beautiful and guest free pool area. After several requests we were finally shown to our room TWO hours later which is NOT acceptable.Wanting to wash and freshen up there were no towels, a request revealed that they would not be ready until later that evening and when they eventually did arrive they were still damp. The family room was reasonable..separate bedroom for the kids which was a bonus.Fridge and large terrace/balcony.During the day the pool area was deserted so no problem with availability of sun beds.Basic breakfast and annoying, loud, constant pool bar music spoilt our stay.

Nice hotel in not so convenient location .
Room 401 from 9th July 2014 until 16th ; no fridge on arrival, after much nagging a small fridge was provided after three days, during one of the hottest period . Room small double room with two different types of beds! Balconies on either side, one with beautiful hill view and the other garden view.. Despite the hype in a slick website , linen was changed every three days, but no replenishment of soap or shower gel all throughout; TV set from the middle ages with no more than 4 local channels manually operated. Had to hire car from Corfu airport because of its inconvenient location , i.e. the bus services were from Paleokastritsa to Corfu which ran on a different main road some 3kms from hotel. Although the lady "manager" was willing to provide pickup & return on request. Excellent swimming pool , blaring poolside music from morning to well past 1am in the morning. Had to request Dina to shut off to get some sleep, which she did , but was sullen thereafter. Food: Breakfast adequate but boring and repetitive. Same for evening Set meal in the evening, e.g dessert : Jelly or Mousse everyday. A la Carte not worth it as the chef was inexperienced. Eat at at Liapades, with a choice of authentic family run Greek tavernas. Dina does everything by herself with the help of 3 part time staff. The Management in Saloniki part of "ACROSS" recently taken over from family run Inn .

We went there mid September half board. Excellent value for money. All staff absolutely brilliant - family business. Convivial atmosphere so easy to get along with other guests . Food quality excellent. All facilities clean & well maintained - room, pool/area, plants. Easy reach of bakers, mini market. Beaches a bit further (about 40 minute amble), but you dont notice it after the first time. Weather great. Car/quad/scooter hire available with boat trips to other great beaches. Complimentary airport collection/delivery available. They mailed us the lady's handbag we had left behind (at their cost).

Off the beaten path a perfect, quiet, restful spot
Just as we read in trip advisor. Friendly staff, very good food... it was sure nice to have a tasty, homecooked normal sized meal. One night was stuffed peppers and the other was fabulous fresh fish. Pool was terrific, not over chlorinated. We came with a car and recommend that you get a car in town. The beaches and sights are several miles away. Our fridge was so noisy we turned it off in the night, but otherwise, our stay was terrific. It was very quiet and it was nice to be in the country. Dinner was 27-35E w/wine and salad.

Paradise Inn Hotel
The staff at this hotel were concerned to get it right. There was a professional and sincere desire to deliver a homely hospitality. My husband and I stayed there for a fortnight. This is a well located hotel for exploring Corfu by car. (The price of the expedia hotel/flight made hiring the car affordable for us) Corfu town and Dassia on the east coast; 35 minutes,.Agios Georgios in the NW,Angelokastro, 40 - 45 minutes, south Corfu accesible on day trips.(In South Corfu, we were robbed when on the beach by lake Korrision -beware, the locals said this wasn't the first time!) Paradise Inn in contrast felt very safe. It was not right on the sea front, but we did walk to the beach a couple of times from the hotel. Liapades offers 2 delightful beaches, Limni and Rivini; but the third and the most accessible beach reached from the main arterial road in Liapades is noisy( interminable music blasted from loud speakers on the beach front), and crowded. The hotel also provides excellent meals in a delightful, relaxed poolside setting. The hotel pool was the best in Liapades and I was able to swim late into the evening (most hotels in the area offer a free swim if you buy a drink.)

Excellent place for a family
The hotel is family run and they are very friendly. They offer a pick up/drop off service from the airport. They can help to organise a hire car or hire scooter. The food is excellent and the waitress is very polite and friendly. Breakfast is included which is a good start to our day. The swimming pool is very clean and well maintained. It's an excellent place for a family as the hotel is self contained and safe. In the rooms there is air conditioning and we also had available a cooker and did cook a couple of times. The hotel is quite far from the nearest beach and places to see and so would advise a car. We would stay there again and recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Fantastic Hotel - a Real Gem!
I can't say enough good things about Paradise Inn. From the moment they arranged to pick us up from the airport at 4am due to our flight being delayed, we were treated like one of the family. The level of service was exemplary! Fresh towels every day, a lovely breakfast (served until 11:30 for all those late risers), and a spotlessly clean pool area with more than enough sunbeds and umbrellas to go around. I can also highly recommend the barbecue on Sunday night - quite possibly the tastiest barbecue I have ever had! More meat than you could shake a stick at, and so reasonably priced! Another couple were celebrating their 40th anniversary at the hotel, and they made a cake especially for their celebration and gave them a card - that should tell you everything you need to know about this hotel....a real gem! I can't recommend highly enough. One thing: you will need a car or a moped to explore the island, this is a must if you stay at Paradise.

Lovely hotel with great service in a rural setting
The exterior of the hotel is attractive and well maintained with a good sized pool and plenty of sun loungers. Great pool side bar set in very attractive surroundings. Plenty of parking. The interior is well laid out and is of a very high standard. It is welcoming and relaxing and caters for a wide range of ages. There are very high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. We were there late season and the high standards were maintained. Rooms are spacious with good bathrooms (for Greece) and there was a balcony with room for table, chairs and an airer. The breakfast was continental style buffet and was excellent with fresh bread, fruit and cakes every day. Hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming and went out of their way to help. Food in the evenings was very good but had a limited menu. If staying here the only consideration is that it is some way from the beach and a car would be useful. This is a lovely location on the island and offers a great base for exploring some traditional areas including mountain villages and superb beaches. The food in the nearby villages is excellent and very good value compared to the rest of the island. We recommend this hotel and the island as a whole and we had a fantastic holiday.

Exclusivity at a reasonable price
This is an ideal hotel in which to relax. As there are only twenty rooms and two apartments there is never any feeling of being overcrowded. The pool is very large and surrounded by sun loungers and there are plenty for all the guests so none of the usual anxiety about getting down early enough. The pool bar is very convenient and has a very good variety of drinks. All in all, you get the feeling of exclusivity at a good price. Car hire is easily arranged once you have arrived. Airport transfer is by means of the hotel courtesy pick up service so you don't need to worry about a car until you've settled in. We found it fun to visit the local beaches and tavernas. It is possible to eat at the hotel as they have a bar menu or you can have the evening special. Choice is limited because most people eat out and hence it is not viable for the hotel to have a full a la carte service. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to couples and small families. The rooms sleep up to three and the apartment up to four, possibly five at a pinch.

One in a million!!!!
The Paradise Inn should not be classed as 2* but more like 4* as it is the best we have stayed at having visited many of the Greek Islands. All the staff, especially Martina or Nicos, go well above the extra mile to try to cater for everyone's wishes, always with a smile. Wonderfully clean, never ending hot running water, quiet with beautiful floral surroundings, large immaculate and clean swimming pool with ample sun loungers and umbrellas. Ideal place for the independant travellers or families who wish to do their own thing whether it be touring the island or just chilling out by the peaceful pool. The Inn offers a different "home cooked" meal each night which has been lovingly prepared most of the day, for the guests and staff alike to savour, accompanied by the locally produced fantastic house wine. A complimentary pick up and drop off service is offered from and to the airport on arrangement with reception. Only downside is the island bus service which is not very frequent & doesn't cover much of the island, so for touring/exploring either your own transport or a hire vehicle #car, scooter, quadbike - whatever takes your fancy# is a must as taxis are very expensive, the reception being able to organise or point you in the right direction of your choice. Driving in Corfu is pleasant and safe. Wonderful place and atmosphere, so friendly kind and caring, one of the few places we would like to stay at time & time again. A very big thankyou to the Paradise Inn and staff.

The hotel is very clean and I specially say the staff was very helpful and kind the food was average but it is pleasing the location is a bit too far to the Corfu town but nevertheless it was very easy to commute due to the short ride Mr.Mikos was providing us to the nearest beach resorts and the bus stops.

Wrong location
Spend 1 hour trying to find the hotel from it’s location on hotels.com and google maps - no hotel to be found. It turned out that the location it located out of town and had to rent a scooter to get there. Hotels.com provided good service in order to locate the hotel. However, no compensation or understanding was received from the staff at paradiset inn. We arrived after the kitchen closed due to our troubles find the hotel, and had to go out again to find food. Also, we were promised a mountain view, but had nothing els than the next door building as a veiw. Rooms are okay and clean but beds are not the best and the air con lights up the entire room during the night. Staff are friendly but not very helpfull when it comes to advicing on activities in the area.
