“Great, Great location & helpful staff”

Close to major attractions - walk everywhere - both for meals and sightseeing. Right near canals and a myriad of restaurants. Staff extremely helpful in business center and directions to sights- Extremely safe!

“would stay again”

Hotel room was decent size. Complaint: thin walls so noise from elevators and street very annoying. First night's room (on first floor) was just above dumpster so view and noise from dumping of bottles/cans was ridiculous. Location excellent. Bed very comfortable. Staff very upbeat and helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet.

“Exelent location”

The beakfast buffet was splendid & the location is the best. No perks like a doorman or a porter. Good value for the money in Copenhageb, where everything is expensive..

“Modern hotel on a waterfront location”

We stayed at the Scandic Front for just 2 nights mid August. We were given a lovely water front room overlooking the "summer beach" and "Black Diamond" concerthouse, and opera house. The room was decorated with modern furnishings, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our bathroom was spotless. They don't provide personal toiletries, only a shower gel dispenser. I enjoyed the rainshower, though feel that the partition could be longer, as since there is no shower door, the floor can get a bit wet if you're not careful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and very popular. Hotel location is excellent for Nyhavn and its bars, and a short walk from Christianshavn or the shops on Stroget. The city circle bus runs right past the hotel which we took to get a feel for the size and feel of the city.

Area recommendations
Head to Norrebro and wander the streets to visit a mixture of hip boutiques, retro antique shops, markets, cafes, bars and kebab houses. Hang out with locals at the bars on Skt. Hans Torv for drinks. Or just buy some beers at the local 7-11 and sit around the fountain with the students outside the same bars for a similar experience!
Dining
Best of all, the Scandic Front is just around the corner from Told & Snaps which serves fantastic Smorrebrod (open faced sandwiches), homemade snaps, and beers from the Norrebro Bryghus. Very popular with the locals, despite being in a tourist area. The staff were lovely!

“Utterly Apalling”

We stayed at Scandic Front for 2 nights and were hugely dissapointed with the quality of the hotel and the quality of the service at the hotel. We paid for two queen rooms but I was instead given a small double room that had an extremely impleasant smell (like a sewage drain had been blocked). My complaints at reception fell on deaf ears then eventually they agreed to change our room. There were no bathrobes or toiletries despite the description of the hotel facilities on the expedia website. We asked for bathrobes and were told "we will see if we can find some but if not we can't give you any". The buffet breakfast was utterly apalling: dirty glasses, dirty cutlery and plates, burnt bacon, watery scrambled egg, and very rude kitchen staff to top it off! The lifts are out-dated and hazardous. Scandic Front should not be classified as a 4 star hotel. I visit Copenhagen regularly and despite the very good location, I will not be staying at the Scandic Front again.

“Copenhagen delight”

Nice hotel in a great location. The area is superb and near the water as well as Nyhavn and Kongs Nytorv. Very central and also close to airport. I would suggest to anyone visiting Copenhagen. The only area they could improve on is the breakfast area as they never seem to have enough seating for everyone.

“Perfect Place to Stay”

We found the hotel to be perfect. The customer service was excellent, the location was ideal, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast buffet was fantastic - I honestly have only good things to say about the hotel. It is a great place to stay whether you are traveling with friends, family, or a significant other. I highly recommend it.

“Close to Nyhaven restaurants and canal”

Very nice 'Scan Design' hotel close to Nyhaven restaurants and canal street. Delicious breakfast buffet. Front desks were very friendly and helped us stowe our luggage as we were quite early.

Can't save any bucks in copenhagen, very expensive city. Bring your credit card.
