“Good centrally located hotel in Copenhagan”
Hotel room was large for Europe. Hotel had an excellent breakfast buffet and was centrally located (close to Tivoli). Had air conditioning. Opposite a lake with a walk/jogging path.
“Well located central business/family hotel”
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Central Railway Station, and other attractions. Price was very competitive, although it is undergoing renovation. However I was fortunate to have a renovated room and it was immaculate with a great view. Spacious with a good bathroom and a generous sized desk. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended provided the price doesn't increase too much after renovations completed.
“Central Copenhagen”
Good central location however, the hotel lobby was currently under renovation so arrival was via a side entrance which did make the hotel more difficult to locate. Rooms were very clean with simple elegant decor. Bathroom clean with very good shower and shower gel and body lotion available via hygenic dispensers.
“Excelent service despite renovation”
We travel with 11 and 1 year old child. On reservation asked for quiet room. Ongoing renovation was really not a problem. Room is new and spacious ( in fact two bedrooms and bathroom). Wooden floor in rooms and heated floor in bathroom are nice features and feel like home. Breakfast has many choices and service is fast with no missing items. Most likely to look for Scandic hotel again when travel to Scandinavia. Wirelles signal is to weak and break frequently. More WLAN repeaters could improve this. Wired LAN is not present in the room.
“Good Experience”
Stayed here for a couple of nights found the rooms to be spacious with a minimalistic Contemporary design. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is good and included in the price which is gr8 value given that Copenhagen can be very expensive, the location is excellent being so close to the central station. Free wifi is a great value add, overall would recommend to anyone travelling to Copenhagen.
“Don't expect air conditioning”
Regrettably the days we were in Copenhagen were exceptionally hot....if there really was any air conditioning available in the hotel rooms it was not evident in either of the rooms we had. Rooms were minimally cleaned. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful. Location was good, not great, but definitely within walking distance to pretty much everything.
“Nice Location, but Overpriced and Room Poorly Maintained”
The location is handy, and the rooms offer a nice view. Overall, the place was in OK shape. However, the bathroom was in unacceptable condition. The shower head was broken off from the vertical support, and could not be used except by hand holding the nozzle. The hotel does not give out soap bars, but relies on liquid soap dispensers in the shower and at the sink. The soap dispenser in the shower either was empty or did not work at all. The floor tiles and sink area showed signs of severe staining and looked filthy, although they were probably subjected to ordinary cleaning. All these conditions were called to the attention of management, but nothing was done about them for the three days of our stay. Copenhagen is a terribly expensive place, but even by that yardstick I would not consider this hotel to be a good value.
“Scandic Hotel”
The hotel is very well located, and has an attractive lobby. The staff were friendly, but i wasnt' there long enough to test their usefulness. The room i stayed in (a single) was quite small, the bed and bed linens also quite small. The shower wasn't very effective (strong), but reasonable warmth. I might stay again for the location, but otherwise this is a 2-3 star hotel at best once you get in the room.
“Bath rooms”
Bath Room in our room was very dirty and rusted appliences and molded tub not happy at all.
“Convenient location”
Stayed at the Scandic Copenhagen in June, 2007 for three days before a cruise. Very reasonably priced, especially with the internet specials. Has a great location within 4 blocks of Tivoli Gardens, 6 blocks to Town Hall Square. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Great running path around several lakes just across the street. Also has a fitness center. Breakfast is included and very good, with plenty of variety. The best thing about this hotel, for us, is that they have rooms that can sleep 3-4 people (two adults and two children easily), which is rare in Europe. Services are basic; for example, there's no doorman or bellmen, we just grabbed a luggage cart and rolled our own luggage up to our rooms, which is great for us (no tipping!). There is a helpful concierge, however. Taxis are a bit hard to get, but they will call one for you if needed.
