“Scandix Hotel-Copenhagen”

Nice place with a long lake right beside ti which is ideal for walks or jogs. The front desk and concierge services were top rate, friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good with a reasonably good selection of hot and cold dishes. The hotel was about a 6-7 minute walk from Tivoli Gardens and the "Hop On Hop Off" bus start-up point and from shopping. It is also air-conditioned which is not necessarily common in this part of the world. They do not provide shampoo etc nor face cloths but if you know that it is not a big deal. We would go back to the Scandic.

“Bath rooms”

Bath Room in our room was very dirty and rusted appliences and molded tub not happy at all.

“Great location”

We have stayed at this hotel before, hence the reason for our return. It is in a great location, near to the main train station, Tivoli Gardens and has views across the 'Lakes'. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The only disappointment is that they no longer provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the snack bar in the foyer is dismal.

Area recommendations

You don't need to travel far from the centre as there is so much to do/see.

Getting around

Walk when you can but if you start to tire, hire a rickshaw! It'll take you exactly where you want to go.

“nice hotel - 2mins from the Main train station.”

Very presentable, standard business quality hotel, when you book the room the trip summary says that breakfast is not included and also is included which is somewhat confusing. my experience (1st sept 2009) is that breakfast WAS included in the booking price personally I think it a shame that Scandic has left the Hilton Honors scheme.

Copenhagen is very easy to get around with on foot and by using the public transport e.g. the trains are every 10-20mins from the airport to the main train station.

“An OK hotel”

The room was adequate. Burned out lights in the bathroom not replaced as requested. Twin beds are quite narrow, but reasonably comfortable. The best feature was the included and very excellent breakfast- a 5 star feature. The hotel is nicely located and has 3 computers for e-mail in the lobby.

“Good hotel in Copenhagen”

Within about 3 blocks of the train station, this hotel was the perfect stopover as we prepared to return home from a few days on the west coast of Denmark. Our room overlooked a small lake, the room was comfortable as long as we had the window open. The included breakfast was excellent and complete. I felt it was good value for the location, both for room and for restaurant.

“Excellent hotel mid downtown”

The hotel was excellent and the breakfast is wonderful. The only problem is there is no aircondition in any rooms. So if it is hot, it is bad, even with window open. The stay was very nice and the front desk people were excellent and saved us lots of money by suggesting taking the train to the airport instead of the bus. Short walk and $ 40 Euro less. We will stay again in that hotel.

Everything is with walking distance, restuarnts, the Tivoli and museums.

“Good Position”

It was an ideal position from train station & the shopping area. Our room overlooked the lakes & it was great to be able to walk aound these. There are only twin beds in the rooms & bathroom wasn't very nice. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice & unlimited amounts.

Traveller's tip

We found everything very expensive there. We caught the train to Malmo which is slightly less expensive than Copenhagen.
