“Enjoyable”
very convenient for christmas markets and shopping
“Brilliant”
Fantastic little city a cracking hotel with staff that were more helpful than anywhere I've ever been.
“classic but tired”
The hotel has great views so go as high as you can floor-wise. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and I actually want to buy one. The concierge also great. WHat's not good? the rooms are badly maintained--outdated bathroom fixtures, a phone that is so old it threatems but fails to be a deign classic..dirtoy mirrors and a dirty table which weren;t cleaned deaspite me asking twice. The hotel trades on itsa design heritage and it a s afew classics scattered about but it needs to update for the new millenium and it can do this by embracing its past. Sorry for the scattered notes!
“Cool and collected!”
Very organised, stylish hotel but not so cool that they don't give you a warm and friendly welcome. Just a short walk from the central station. Not too keen on the locale, but it's within walking distance of many top attractions. Would certainly stay here again – had a lovely drink in the bar, but gave the slightly pricey breakfast a miss and grabbed a coffee and pastry just across the road.
“Comfortable and convenient in Copenhagen”
We picked this hotel from the Internet and were concerned that some reviews had siad it was noisy. We did not have any problems with noise and found that it was very well located across the road from Tivoli Gardens, a block away from the railway station ans at 1 end of the main shopping drag. The hotel rooms were decorated with modern Scandinavian design and were very functional. We had a couple of meals in the hotel dining room and these were tasty and reasonable value.
“excellent location / fabulous views”
We stayed here for 4 nights. We were on the 12th floor with views over Copenhagen. By upgrading our room we had windows on two sides and we ate breakfast in the restaurant on the 20th floor. I wasn't aware until after I had booked that this hotel it is considered to be the world's first design hotel and represents the pinnacle of the designer's career. It was designed by Arne Jacobsen
“Second Time Not The Charm”
Last summer I stayed for a week in a junior suite. I booked another suite for a week this summer. I requested a quiet, non-smoking room, away from elevators, street noise etc. I paid full price for this reservation. It was very expensive. When I arrived, they told me they had a wonderful room. I had to wait until 2:30 to check in, though I'd told them I was arriving at 1. They put me in a room directly across from a bank of elevators, on the noisiest side of the building--overlooking a major street and light rail tracks. The room reeked of smoking! That's three for three--they ignored all of my requests. And, they said they had nothing else. This hotel gets package tours and conventions. Perhaps they treat you as second class if you're traveling as an individual--even if you're spending thousands of dollars on a junior suite! The hotel has seen better days. It borders major roadways and rail lines, which are noisy. Who needs the aggravation? And, they finished as poorly as they started. I requested an early morning wake up call on my final night--so I could make an early flight. I never got the wake up call. Nice touch, Radisson. Fortunately, I set a backup alarm on my travel clock. Final note: two days in a row, I pointed out to the breakfast attendant that there was mold growing on the cut fruit they put out. She said the kitchen told her it was "nothing" and only because they wrapped up the trays the night before. You've been warned.
“The perfect location for the Copenhagen visitor”
Could not beat the location - across the street from Tivoli gardens, two blocks from the Town Hall Square and in the heart of all of the pedestrian streets , shopping and restaurants. The only negative is the elevators are tine (approx 4 x 6) and VERY slow. Two people with two pieces of luggage fills the elevator and you could wait 10 minutes to get down.
“Near the Tivoli”
The hotel is well located near the Tivoli. It is a busy hotel, and the service is less than expected for a five star hotel, both at the front desk and in the eating areas. The fitness centre is open to the public and is also busy. It is close to the train station.
“Nice historic mid century hotel”
Great location, mediocre service (understaffed), overpriced. Was there four nights and it was fine but I would look for an alternative the next time.
