“Awesome Place! Would go back in a heart beat.”
We were hesitant to stay here because of the reviews about the inconvenience of the elevator. You enter the hotel and go up stairs to reception. Then down stairs to the elevator. A bit difficult with luggage and a stroller. However we took a chance because the location was near my daughter's place. Please know there is a street level entrance in the middle of the hotel grounds which brings you beside the restaurant and the elevator. Couldn't be better. Across form a lake we had a courtyard view which probably eliminated some traffic noise. The hotel is impecible, the staff although seeming a little slow at the reception desk (mostly to providing information to travelers) was very friendly and knowledgable. The location is a short walk from the metro and the start of the old city. Tons of restaurants and my favourite..... coffee! (Also available at the bar at the reception desk.) Loved the hotel and Copenhagen!
“Not quite up to par”
This review may be slightly tainted by the fact that it rained constantly for the 4 days we were in Copenhagen, but nevertheless after really looking forward to our stay in the Kong Arthur we couldn't help be slightly disappointed. First downside was the lift up to our 5th floor room was out of order for the entire stay. Obviously things go wrong, but not great all the same. The room itself was quite nice, although the TV reception was awful and after reporting the problem no one came to fix as promised - eventually I fixed it myself. Breakfast was OK if a little disorganised, and the bar was nice especially when the main barman was on. On the plus side the hotel was in a nice neighbourhood not too far from town, and the restaurants attached to the hotel are all nice and very close - which was ideal given the bad weather. All of my complaints are a bit minor, and the room itself was fine but everything was just slightly below (admittedly high) expectations
“Convenient, good quality”
A good city centre hotel, convenient for the centre of town and also with good rail links. The rooms are, however, quite small and whilst I was there very hot. Despite having the windows open it was hard to cool the room down. The breakfast was good, but not spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, I'm not sure how this eco-friendly "carbon-neutral / CO2-neutral environment" hotel squares have electricity using, heat emitting mini-bars in every room.
“NOT what they advertise...”
We recently stayed in a "Junior Suite" which was no more than a standard room. The staff were friendly, but overall this hotel is not worth the money - not even close. The major disappointed besides thinking we were staying in a junior suite was the bathroom- the shower was one corner of the room with a cheap curtain that didn't keep the water from covering the rest of the space. There was no rubbish bin, no tissues, no shelf in the shower for toiletries, etc. etc. If this were a 2 or 3 star hotel it would be have been fine. The problem is that not all their rooms are at the same level. We shared our concerns with the staff upon checkout, and they were apologetic, but made no attempt to remedy the situation. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.
“A bit disappointing”
Stayed at Kong Arthur for 3 nights - purported 4 star but just didnt seem to live up to the billing. Everything seemed to have seen better days - the exterior, the grounds, the bathroom etc. The room itself was quite small, the bathroom had no shelving etc to hold toiletries etc. The public grounds were untidy, there was no water in the room, the TV was untidily attached to the wall. Dont get me wrong - its not awful but compared, say, to the Berlin Hilton, also 4 star, where we stayed earlier this year, it does not compare.
“Great hotel”
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. We were in a smaller room, which was definitely on the tiny side. Also further out of the city centre than we would have liked.
“WELL WORTH A VISIT”
The Kong Arthur is perfect for a weekend away, staff a very helpful and cheerfull. The location 5 mins from Norreport Metro station makes life easy, the beer in the bar is spot on. Woud stay at this hotel again without any doubt.
“Great hotel and great location!”
room was small but nicely decorated. recommend inner garden view. Being an eco hotel they dont replace the soaps etc everyday. Staff could be friendler, but overall nice stay for 3 nights!
“A solid choice”
Solid 4* hotel in a good location (barely 10 minutes walk from the Metro which is itself less than 15 minutes from the airport). We got a good price booking early which felt fair on balance. I wouldn't pay a premium to stay here, it's not hugely exciting. Free wifi worked well and was fast. Friendly, English speaking staff (everyone speaks English in Denmark). Nice bathroom, good LCD TV in the room, quiet too. The room was pretty small, no real complaints though. Didn't get breakfast included, so can't comment on that.
“Lots to see and do”
The hotel was lovely and well located. However, we had a small double which is exactly that. We are used to a larger room but it had everything we needed, although not a lot of wardrobe space for 4 nights. No doubt the more expensive rooms are more spacious.
