“Great hotel, family rooms were spacious”

This hotel had clean, comfortable rooms. The location was great, close to the central train station and Tivoli gardens. The family rooms were very big, especially by european standards. We would stay there again.

“Hotel Du Nord”

I liked this hotel for its convenience to the train station, and its comfortable and spacious room. It had a lift, private bath, breakfast, and helpful staff. I did not like the neighborhood it was in. From 2-4am there were groups of drunks/druggies in the streets hollering and fighting. I don't know if this is a regular occurence, but it was a bit loud. There's a few bars and strip clubs surrounding the place that must have closed at that time. We stepped over syringes in the street the next day. Hotel was good, neighborhood was sketchy at night.

“HOTEL DU NORD - JLMacGillivray & C Poole - Stoke on Trent”

The hotel was clean and comfortable and close to all amenities. However, one must be warned that it is in the red-light district and you may well be accosted at any time day or not. Despite this, the hotel is value for money. The reception staff were pleasant, except the staff member on duty on initital registration who really thought WE were doing HIM a favour by staying there.

“Good hotel Good location”

Having read other reviews about this hotel I was concerned that so many mentioned it was in the red light district. Whilst this is true, so are several other hotels and it didn't affect our visit. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and spoke English. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and the tourist information centre. I would recommend this hotel for those planning a Copenhagen city break.

“Good hotel for the price”

The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The location is great - a walking distance to the central train station and to the shopping areas. The only problem was the non-smoking rooms that still had second-hand smoke from other floors. But otherwise, the hotel was modern, clean and I would recommend it to travelers.

“Great Location”

The location was right in the center of Copenhagen. We arrived way before check-in time & they have a place to store luggage & we explored city. Breakfast was still going on & they told us to help ourselves. The room is small by American standards but with cot was large enough to hold 3 adults comfortably. Be prepared to haul your own luggage-no bell boy. It is but so is everything in Copenhagen. It's all relative. Would stay there again

“Nice hotel - don't stay in hot weather”

This is a beautiful small hotel with lovely parquet floors and helpful staff. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Location is convenient-- one block from train station, Tivoli, museums. Unfortunately we were there in very hot weather and there is no air conditioning. Normally this would not be a problem as the windows open. However, the hotel is in the middle of a red light district and "transactions" were occurring all night long so we had to close the windows in order to sleep, then it was very stuffy and hot. I did not feel the neighborhood was at all unsafe, just too noisy when windows were open.

“Adequate Hotel”

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel du Nord for 6 nights and it was adequate- but it bordered on the red light district and there was no security to speak of- anyone could walk off the street and into the elevator without passing the front desk. The room doors did not have a deadbolt. The breakfast was very basic although the coffee was very good.

“Dont Stay Here”

I came here with friends for a mini vacation. The hotel is not very nice at all. Television falling off the wall. We had to prop it up with a Menu Card. Room is filthy, carpeting disgusting. This hotel is right off the red light district so if you like being harrased by street walkers on your way home at night...pick this place. Maybe you can get a discount for convience. Seriously, skip this hotel and upgrade to a nice place. If I had it to do over again, I would have paid extra for a nice room, clean towels etc.
