“Would stay here again!”

We arrived from our cruise ship by 9:30am and were immediately given a room. We were encouraged to enjoy a cup of coffee and something to eat. The Lady on the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful with info about buses etc. The rooms fronting onto the road are a little noisy due to traffic but were fine. They were spacious enough. Bathrooms were fine. About a 20=30 minute walk to the Tivoli and other activities or you can take the local bus which stops just down the street a half block. Local pizza and delicatessans are nearby for less expensive suppers. A very pleasant stay-would definitely stay there again-great value for the money.

“Hotel Amager - Where Hospitality always comes 1st.”

Hotel Amager is a two star Hotel on the out skirts of Copenhagen City centre & out of the tourist trap. The Hotel price, cleanliness, Hospitality, jovial Managers, brilliant Bar staff, friendly locals, distance to attractions, Museums, Restaurants, Bike rides, The little Mermaid, Shopping Bars and Clubs, etc, The whole experience was fantastic. Recommend Hotel Amager to those on small to medium spending budgets & who want to meet the real locals of Copenhagen.

“Definately Stay here again!”

Extremely helpful staff. Very convenient location to shopping and downtown area. We walked everywhere but you can also take the bus which is located just outside hotel. Very very clean rooms and very comfortable. Nice cafes on each corner with great food. Go to Maccador (I think) about a block up and across the street on the corner. Would definately stay here again.

“Very good value”

The hotel was very clean and we had a nice big room although the shower room was a bit small. If you love a cuppa in the morning, the room does not have tea/coffee making facilities which is a shame. The breakfast buffet was a little limited but not a problem for us and we were very grateful that it was included in the price as food is very expensive in Copenhagen (Please note 15% service is included in the price you see, a fact that we only found out on our last day!). The location is great - about 3km from the center of the city. The route into the city is very easy and walkable. There is also a bus stop just across from the hotel and the 5A bus from the airport stops almost outside the hotel and runs very regularly. Although there is quite a busy road in front of the hotel we were not disturbed by any noise. Copenhagen is a lovely city and we would be happy to go back to this hotel.

“Wonderful local flavor”

Pleasant atmosphere. A pub is in the same building and agrocery store is just a couple of doors away. Everyone was friendly and everyone speaks good English. The hotel sits in the center of the city with only a 10/15-minute ride to the airport. Only a 15-minute walk to Tivoli. The quaint elevator holds only 3 people, just like a Hitchcock movie.

“good experience”

Friendly service and a nice room. Overall an excellent value. The location is good although not ideal and the traffic noise can be an issue if the windows are open.

“Enjoyed this Hotel!”

I was traveling with my daughter so we had a double room. We didn't expect a lot before arriving at Hotel Amager because the price was low compared to other Hotels in the area. We were delighted when we walked into the room. Our room was very charming with a big bay window. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was quite clean. Our room was more like we would expect from a bed and breakfast room than a hotel room. The internet was quite a bit faster than we have experienced at some other hotels. I would recommend that you get the Copenhagen Pass if you are going to see much while you are there. It is well worth it! It covers Public transportation, entrance to many sights, and discounts at some restaurants. If you are looking for a big, modern hotel go to the Hilton. But if you enjoy a room with charm and character at a budget price, this may be the place for you. We loved it!

“good hotel,”

The hotel is clean and the rooms have a good size, ask for room number 6 is one of the biggest ones. Hotel staff are helpful and nice. A small breakfast in included which is good because you save some money. Hotel is not downtown, you need to pick up a bus or if you go walking it will take 30-40 minutes to go to the main atractions in copenhagen.

“Great low-cost hotel”

Location: a 5 minute bus-ride from town, with buses every 5 to 10 minutes, and through the night too. Room: Our 1st floor room was a "Junior Suite" (= 2 beds plus a sofa-bed): Typical Danish style of bed, with a thin mattress on a sprung base, which I find to be amazingly comfortable! The carpet was stretched, and in need for fixing, but plenty of space (and other rooms I saw had even more space). Lacking in space for clothes. Bathroom has a shower only, and was just excellent! The only real DOWN side was that our room faced the rather busy street, so with the double-glazed windows open, there was traffic noise till late (or take earplugs!) Breakfast: simple but adequate (cereals, OJ, tea/coffee, bread, meats, cheese). No problems with smokiness. Staff: small business, very helpful & pleasant staff.

“Cheap and Cheerful”

We picked this hotel because of the price. It was slightly away from the centre - a 15 minute walk - but the staff were friendly and helpful and the bar of the hotel was one of the cheapest places to get a beer around!
