“Great location and a stylish hotel”

We loved this hotel. It was comfortable, stylish (love the Danish chairs theme) and in a really convenient location. Our room was modest, but comfortable and very clean. We were made welcome by the staff. All in all a really good place to stay.

“Yes, I'd stay there again”

We were in Copenhagen during a rare heatwave and the hotel is not air-conditioned. A fan is provided, but it only helped a bit. The electricity went out for about an hour and we had to use the stairs. We're pretty fit so it was no big deal to us, but it would have been very inconvenient for anyone trying to get luggage down from the upper floors. The rooms are small (think NYC) but adequate and very clean. That said, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful; the breakfast provided was delicious; and the hotel is well-located. I'd definitely stay there again.

“Beautiful Warm Hotel!”

The hotel was in a great location close to Tivoli, City Hall and within walking distance to the major shopping platz. Bed was very comfortable and shower was fantastic. The hotel staff were excellent especially the lady that checked us in on Saturday morning 7 Jan 2012. She was very informative and knew the area very well. She was also very helpful with restaurant recommendation including the one in the hotel. We would definitely go back to the Hotel Alexandra!!

“Good hotel, great location, affortable price!”

My wife and I went in a cruise and stayed one day in the city in this hotel, we took a train instead of a taxi (quite expensive) and the train was good and cheap, the station is like 4 blocks from the hotel so just walk and you will be in minutes. Around the hotel there are some convinience stores like 7eleven, so you can have drinks and snacks there instead of the high hotel prices. A few blocks are the Tivoli Park (like retro theme park), museums, shops, parks, Central station, like 15min to airport in train, etc. I would say if you like to travel and know a city this hotel let you enjoy this wonderful city by any transport or walk. The hotel is fine, confortable bed, my window had street view and the noise was isolated by 2 windows so forget you have a main street on a side. Some people complains about the AC but just open the windows and use a fan provided in the room and voila! The size is ok, (want more space? go to a expensive chain hotel) I strongly recomend this hotel and to be honest is just for the night cause anyone who really like and know how to travel will not waste time in a room having an spectacular city!.

“Great location”

Good safe hotel. Rooms small but ok; the WiFi didn't work and cost ten euro/twenty-fours; some staff good, others less so (in four days we never saw the same person twice!); EXCELLENT breakfast - Copenhagan is very expensive, so well worth it! I'd stay again.

“great location & good value”

I stayed at the hotel Alexandra in May for a 3 night break. The staff were very helpful and all spoke very good English. We had a standard room at the back of the hotel which I was pleased about as the building is on a busy main road so it was quiet at the rear. The room was small and a little tired, the bathroom extremly small and the shower a little antiquated but plenty of hot water and the room was cleaned every day. the beds were also very comfortable. The room also had tea/coffee making facilities and a flat screen tv although we didn't use it. The hot/cold breakfast buffet was more than adequate with organic freshly baked breads, cereals, jucies, sauages, eggs etc and a whole pot of coffee which I thought was a nice touch (better than queuing up at a machine every time you want a re-fill). The hotel is perfectly located for all the sights - the Tivoli Gardens is 5 mins walk on the same road and the Dansk Design Centre about the same distance across the street. All the main sights are easily accesible and central Station is 10 minutes walk away and only 3 stops to the Airport and much cheaper than a taxi. All in all, a very well located and priced three star hotel with an abundance of mid-price restaurants and bars in the vicinity.
