“would stay there again”
the hotel was minutes from the train station (train only 12 minutes from the airport) so its the quickest transfer I have ever known! would certainly recommend as the hotel was clean, good location, friendly staff etc - everyone in Scandanavia speaks excellent English so nothing was ever a problem - the hotel is right by the Tivoli, the train station and only 5 minute walk to the main shops - Copenhagen is easy to get round on foot although I recommend a boat trip Carlsberg brewery only a 20 minute walk also
“Not fit for a 4 star hotel”
The hotel in itself is nice enough, but the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishing. The desk in the room looks like it's older than the hotel itself, and a shower curtain would come in handy... On a positive note, I got a great rate thanks to booking my room as part of an Expedia package (flight + hotel together).
“Good value central hotel”
The hotel is a 5-10 minute stroll from Central Rail Station, the welcome was friendly and the staff efficient. We were offered a choice of rooms & selected a quiet room on the top floor facing the courtyard. All in all a good choice to base yourself for a few days in Copenhagen. There are restaurants & a nice pub yards from the hotel along with supermarkets & other shops.
“Best Stay in Copenhagen”
Very close to Central station from where you get a train to and from Airport every 10 mins which is the fastest route to the airport. The hotel and the rooms have a very beautiful decor and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The main street is just 10 mins walk.
“Good value in convenient location”
5 minutes walk from central rail station and convenient for walking to all main sightseeing locations in centre. Nice quiet room, fair size for Scandinavia, comfortable bed, good temp. control, excellent breakfast. I would go back :)
“Central location and convenient”
Good business hotel in the center of CPH. Central location and reasonably priced.
“Got a good deal through Expedia”
Copenhagen is an expensive city. The hotels are expensive. The first two nights I stayed in one so-called 3 stars hotels, but the room was not much bigger than a closet with a tiny little bathroom. The foul smell coming out from the toilet filled up the rest of the room, even when I put the lid down. Through Expedia, I found this Fist hotel. It was great and the room was not huge and only has a shower, but it was 10 times better than my initial one. It was cheaper, closer to the Central Station, Breakfast was good, had in-room hot water bottle and iron, hair-dryer etc. The only complain I have is the TV didn't have CNN.
“Great Value and Nice Room”
Great Value for a nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Room was large and modern and bath very nice with large shower. Hallways were small though and breakfast, though good and comprehensive - nice buffet with just about everything (I suggest you add it in as it is expenisve seperately). But very crowded breakfast area. Location is up and coming area very near to Central Station and pretty close to old city. I could stay there again at the price I got.
“If you don't stray you'll be OK”
If you're arriving by train at the central station, this is only a short five minute walk to the left down the main road. Keep your eyes open for cyclists, they are fast and it is hard getting used to them first few days. The old cobbled streets of the centre are a stones throw away back towards the station but on the left. Plenty to see and do here, no need for multi day tickets on public transport. You may want that solely for the Mermaid, but by foot is far more flexible. Bars and Restaurants aplenty in centre, and some along main road from hotel. There are even nice places behind the hotel, just appreciate that there are some less savoury establishments and sole traders in that area.
“Perfect location,good breakfast"”
I have seen bad reviews on this hotel and I don't understand why. We did not have any issues whatsoever. Stayed 2 days prior to cruise and was assigned a room overlooking the courtyard. Very quiet for a good night sleep after a transatlantic flight. The hotel is in a perfect location close to the City Hall area where we caught the Hop-on Hop-off bus,Tivoli, Stroget etc. Breakfast which was included in the price was divine especially in an expensive city like Copenhagen. We stayed another day after the cruise and was assigned a room overlooking the street which had a very good view to people watch. Perfect for a rainy afternoon. Check in and check out was a breeze. Front desk personnel were friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. Taxis were lined up in front of hotel in case you need them. Be careful of the bikes though. The have their own special lane.
