“Excellent hotel”
A lovely hotel in a great location. Large comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. The only slight problem is that in summer it is a bit stuffy and hot, but then all the museums and galleries in Copenhagen were like that as well - I guess air-con is not a high priority in Denmark, and only causes a probblem for a few weeks each year. I would happily stay at the hotel again.
“Best Copenhagen hotel I've ever used”
Great hotel. Fantastic value for money. I booked it for a work trip because it was cheaper than the other options I'd been given, and it included internet access and breakfast, which seems rare in Denmark. I assumed it would be a bit shabby for the price but it was a remarkably good hotel - friendly, helpful, well-kept and well-run. Breakfast was the best I've had in Denmark - full buffet including cooked and cold. Every room (so they told me) has a bath as well as shower and as well as the free internet (very fast), it also included a free minibar! The bath was a bit small though. For a hotel located so centrally (right by the City Hall Square) it is brilliant value. Ok, I went at an off-peak time, and I was also given a refurbished room (implying that some of them may be a bit shabby) but all the rooms are about to be refurbished so give it a few months and hopefully they will all be as good!
“Great central location.”
Very conveniently situated hotel for most things in Copenhagen. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. The meal we ate at the hotel was lovely. Be aware that if your room overlooks the street, it is noisy all night but we managed to sleep through most of it.
“Comfortable, once luxurious.”
Old prestige hotel which is currently a bit faded and tired - but about to close for refurbishment. Excellent location, and still very comfortable to stay in, particularly if you get a good deal.
“My future choice in Copenhagen”
Nice hotel with old fashioned interior, well preserved and maintained. Good central location, absolutely value for money. Will be my choice of hotel for my future trips to Copenhagen. Well trained and friendly front office staff.
“Friendly, centrally located and great value hotel in a beautiful city !”
Well located hotel for the central station and all attractions. Friendly, attentive staff, good breakfast and free mini-bar. In the middle of refurbishment, old rooms are clean but dated, new rooms are of a high standard. Would recommend and hope to return
“Great hotel, great location, great city”
I was originally a bit concerned about this hotel due to some of the reviews I had read, but in our experience the hotel was excellent. Yes, there were a few leaks in the courtyard roof (admittedly it was bucketing down) but if you're in the business of whinging about a bit of water on one couch, when there are plenty of other chairs to sit on then you're missing the point of traveling. The room itself was clean and big, the free minibar (alcoholic as well) and wi-fi was particularly good and the bed was probably the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on. The room itself had a poor outlook (onto a courtyard with air ducts and pigeons) but if you will be spending most of your time walking Copenhagen's streets then you won't notice it. If you got a room facing the main courtyard then that would be best. No problems whatsoever with noise, the room was a good temperature (we didn't have the window open and it was still cool) so no complaints there. Location was fantastic, 5 mins walk from central station and Tivoli gardens, bus around the corner direct to airport. Staff were extrememly helpful as well. The price may be a bit steep if you are used to London prices, but it is Denmark and everything is expensive so it's probably bang on. If you want a clean, homely and comfortable hotel right in the centre of Copenhagen, this is the one for you.
“A very homely place.”
This hotel is very convenient for the tourist, being just a short walk from Tivoli gardens, the main shops and the railway station. No taxis needed here. We had a very comfortable room. Coffee making facilities are not available in the rooms but complimentary drinks ( two cokes, a couple of beers and water) were available in the room bar and there is a very nice free coffee making machine in the central covered atrium which made up for it. The English style mealsl in the restaurant were very good (and no more pricey that other eating places close by) and for the discerning beer drinker, they have a range of excellent local bottled beers. My only disappointment was the range of viewing on the TV. There were very limited channels, at best with English subtitles and the one channel which should have been useful (BBC World News) didn't work. A greater range of viewing for winter trippers would be appreciated. Although we only booked two nights initially, we chose to stay here two more nights when the dreaded snow shut down Heathrow and left us stranded. I just had to have a few more of those excellent beers!
“a lot better than the rest”
hotels in copenhagen are usually expensive and the rooms bare basics with little or no frills. it was good to find a hotel that bucks the danish trend with nice rooms, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. the atrium is great if you want a complimentary coffee and a paper to read and the location is perfect as it is 2 mins from copenhagen central station, tivoli gardens and the main shopping streets i will definitely return to this hotel as i visit copenhagen regularly and this is the first hotel i can say this about
“Good hotel”
We stayed for 2 days. This hotel ideal for short break. Very handy for town. Small dining room. Decor quite dark with wood panelling.
