“business trip to Copenhagen”
The hotel is city-central, an easy walk to the central train station, shopping and restaurants. The room was very small (so I am discovering are all the single rooms in hotels in European cities). The shower was a grill in the floor of the bathroom with a curtain pulled around you- probably the result of adding showers to an old building. Traveling alone, I would recommend it since you don't expect to spend any significant time in your room. In May 2006 there was considerable construction on an adjacent building but the noise was not a factor.
“Not impressed”
This hotel is a good value for the price paid, but the location is not in a very desirable part of the city. With a room facing the street, the noise from strip bars on both sides of the street kept us awake most of the night. It is better to have a room facing the inner courtyard. Breakfast is not included, but can be purchased. It's better and cheaper to get breakfast at a nearby restaurant. The location however is in walking distance to Tivoli Gardens, the train station and all the downtown attractions.
“Recommendable Hotel in convenient location”
The room was small and noisy (on the basement facing the backyard), however comfortable for Copenhagen standards. Convenient location but no room for relax at the receiption when the conference room is occupied (which occured most of the time of our stay). Altogether a recommendable hotel at a fair price.
“Basic”
Fairly basic but ok if all you want is a place to sleep. I travel to Copenhagen a lot and I've never found much better in this price range. The prostitutes outside can be anoying.
“Not impressed, but good location”
The hotel is close to Tivoli and other tourist attractions, but it is on a street with some questionable establishments and activities -- not suitable for the elderly or couples with young children. The rooms were clean but very worn. Breakfast was ok. For the price I would recommend, but with the above caveats.
“careless staff”
When we entered into our room, there was only one towel in bath and when we requested more towels at the reception, the staff told us that "maybe you could not see the towels, they are in the wardrobe". But the truth is, we were right and they did not bring any towels back.
“Good value in Copenhagen”
Satisfactory hotel at a satisfactory price - convenient to the central station and to sights of Copenhagen
“Good location on a budget”
Great location for Central Station, Tivoli and main shopping district plus a number of cinemas. Not a glamorous area or hotel but perfectly adequate. Room was small - but comfy beds although bathroom very small and dated.Would be happy to stay there again if on a budget.
“Not Impressed”
I asked for 2 seperate beds - got two twin beds pushed together. If you have problems with noise while you are sleeping, be sure to request a room that is not above the street. The breakfast had great choices for the first 2 days then they cut back on the selections. Don't forget the breakfast is not free.
“Disappointing!”
Well situated for tourist attractions, but not ideal for a relaxing break. Directly opposite a strip club (& my room was above another strip club!) the noise continues until 4am. This may be ok if you're there to party, but not if you're on a holiday & you want to be able to rest. The rooms are small & shabby & require attention. I'm sure there are better places to stay in this city.
