“I would go back”
Overall I was pleasantly surprised as I had read all sorts of reviews. The rooms are fine, no fancy decoration, very functional. They have internet and a desk, very useful as I had work to do. The bathroom is rather big and very clean. The only downside, and a major one, is the mattress quality. Actually, I don't think it qualifies as a bed mattress, it was more like a gym mattress. It was sooo thin... Luckily there was 2 beds and I was on my own, so I had to put both mattresses plus the other duvet in order to make it just bearable. It is a crucial investment that the hotel needs to do soon. The restaurant was very nice, spacious, nordic decoration, very bright and the breakfast was fine, too. The location is very convenient too, I didn't know Copenhagen and found my way easily as there are a couple of buses at the door which take you to the centre.
“Great location and nice rooms”
I really liked this place. When I saw there was no air conditioning, I worried, but there was a fan, and that turned out to be enough, despite the relatively warm weather. Maybe in mid-summer it would be more of a problem. (We were there in May.) I also worried when I saw the window to the room looked out over the central station. We could hear trains outside, but the noise was distant and not a problem. The best part was that it was easy walking distance from the central station, and so we had easy access to everything. Breakfasts were good, too, though mostly cold cuts. The room was quite large by European standards, and the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English.
“Excellent room, but location pro & con”
I only stayed one night but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the room space, especially with the "walk in" shower. I also enjoyed the plentiful self service breakfast. The location is very convenient, very near the central station but this was also a disadvantage. My room directly overlooked the railway line. The weather was hot and I needed the window open, with the result that there was a lot of noise from the railway during the night. In future I will ask for a room which does not directly face the railway line. But overall, fully satisfied.
“Ok for one night!”
Very near to train track so noisy at times, very little atmosphere, think leisure centre with accomodation built in. On the plus side Staff are very friendly and helpful and it is central and close to train station. Breakfast is OK. For a one night business trip it is perfectly satisfactory, I wouldn't use it for anything else though.
“incredible pool”
Hotel was well situated, easy to find from central station. Room was warm and comfortable, if a little small. Good bathroom (shower, no bath). Nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in room but did not like disposable cups - for the price we paid, thought a china cup could have been provided.Good breakfast, but make sure you get there in plenty of time to eat as they clear away dead on the dot of 9.30 in the week, whether you have your food or not!! Thought hotel seemed to be add-on to sports hall not other way round. Pool was brilliant - a nice wind-down after shopping and sightseeing! Even though stay was not exceptional, overall would use this hotel again just for the pool and gym.
“uk is not bad after all”
If you book a triple bedroom, expect a camping bed. The room was noisy due to the train station. The breakfast was poor quality, had stomach ache by eating the smoked salmon, undrinkable apple/orange juice. But good location near Tivoli which is extremely expensive(295Kr entrance +ride).I thought England was expensive but I was wrong.Drinks are so expensive too (6pounds for a Schewpps tonisc in a pub)
“Disappointing”
This hotel is very near the station so is handy for most things in the town.It is attached to a public pool and gym facility . We did not use the pool and other leisure facilities so can't comment on that. The bed was very comfortable and clean towels and room cleaned every day. The wet room ,in particular, was in need of some decorating and maintenance. The lift was out of order all the time we were there and the lighting in the stair well was very poor. Some good artwork in the grounds around the hotel and in the restaurant .Breakfast was adequate but not exciting. A bit disappointing overall.
“Not a good experience”
Stayed at this hotel December 2009. Apart from the disasterous check-in, I found the hotel only supplied the bare minimum - a bed and bathroom. The internet was free and ths was frankly, the only redeeming feature. There was no coffee or tea supplied in the room (but available for purchase at reception) and no coffee cups if one brought one's own coffee (which I always do). Not even a bottle of water although I did drink the tap water until I bought my own bottles. The hotel is close to the railway station (which suited me as I had to travel to the airport daily) and Tivoli Gardens which was attractive at this time of year. This was a very basic hotel for an extremely high rate (although this might have een due to the Copenhagen Summitt starting that week).
“Expensive Hostel”
I guess your view depends on what you want. The pluses are that the hotel is essentially some rooms bolted onto a good sports centre with 10 pin bowling, gyms, and some excellent pools. So if you are there to shape up it would be fine. The rooms were clean but the beds & furniture were the cheapest you could possibly imagine. Think MFI without the frills. The service was functional, the breakfasts meagre but good location and in Copenhagen terms the rates are cheaper than most. But if I return, I think we will seek somehwere else
“Train Noise Throughout the Night”
Basically, this hotel is a less than average hotel. Outside our room, throughout the night trains went past the window and it made it very difficult to sleep. Also, because we were next to the train track, the view was abysmal. Futhermore, to cap it all the builders started working right outside our room at 6:30 in the morning which is not very pleasant when you are on holiday. The actual room was very compact and the telephone did not work which meant we had to walk through the big building to get to the expensive payphone. The bathroom was shabby and overall the room was a big let-down. The good thing about this hotel is that you get free access to a lovely swimming pool and the breakfast is excellent.
