“Copenhagen Convenient”
The hotel staff was very pleasant and patient when answering questions about visiting Copenhagen. The location is very convenient to the Central Station (a 3 minute walk) and Tivoli Gardens as well as the Copenhagen visitors center. The evening dinner buffet was a great bonus...there are outside tables as well behind the building that were perfect during the long summer days and warm weather that we experienced. Decor is attractive. The free internet access and computers in the lobby were quite slow...the only negative we can think of. Our room faced the street on a low floor and was not noisy . Previous reviews mentioned a club across the street- we think it may have gone out of business, couldn't see or hear it.
“Excellent value”
Extremely comfortable featherbed! Quiet interior courtyard room. Included breakfast, teatime, and light dinner buffets -- excellent food and saved a lot of money. Convenient location, walking distance to the Central train station and Tivoli, long but easy walk to Nyhaven and other attractions.
“Definitely rebook - very impressed”
The hotel was in a great place;Buffet breakfast was spot on and set us up for the day. Evening Buffet was good, however there was a lot of eating places around the area.We felt comfortable and its from Home to Home.Tea and coffee available all day which was very welcoming especially returning from the cold in the winter month!Lots of fresh fruit too! Room felt small partly due to the huge bed.Overall an enjoyable stay
“Mayfair”
Nice hotel, close to City Hall and Old Town. Redlight district not far away either!
“Great Hotel, Great value”
Very friendly with very good buffet breakfast and evening meal. FreeTea and Coffee are also available in the afternoon. Room was very well air conditioned, clean and well designed.
“Brilliant Stay”
Brilliant stay. the hotel and location were excellent. The staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend.
“Great deal in Copenhagen”
The Mayfair has a great location, just a few short blocks from Central Station and easy to get to from the airport. If you are using the CPH card to get around, there's a bus stop right on the corner. You are a 5 minute walk from Tivoli Gardens. The room is nice, ours was on the interior courtyard and very quiet. The bathroom is tiny with absolutely no shelf space. But it is very modern and clean. Having the breakfast and dinner included can be a real plus. You should know that any drinks at dinner (even water) will be added to your final bill. I was leary of having the "gentlemen's club" across the street, but I never saw any questionable characters hanging out or anyone who made me feel uncomfortable. There is a large sign so if you have young kids it could raise questions. All in all I would stay there again and recommend it. Staff was super helpful!!
“Excellent Value”
Great place with good service. The breakfast was more than acceptable and the dinner included was fine. Close to Train station and main tourist attactions. We would return to this hotel on our next visit to Copenhagen.
“Well done”
Really great. Really lovely decor in the welcoming lobby. The evening buffet is a light meal but very welcome (and we'd forgotten it was included so a nice surprise!) Rooms not over-large and limited on cupboard space BUT very comfy beds and rooms were made up every day (even though we were very random in our hours of habitation!) Friendly staff. Incredibly central. Would definitely go again. C
“Convenient hotel for a downtown Copenhagen stay.”
If you haven't staying in a Clarion Collection hotel in Europe, they're worth considering. They tend to be well maintained and located in good areas. The biggest bonus is that, in addition to a free breakfast, most of them have light dinner buffets that are both convenient and money-savers. The Clarion Mayfair in Copenhagen is no exception. The hotel is well located close to Tivoli Gardens, the train station (convenient to the airport), the main tourist office, and the main pedestrian shopping mall. The hotel is well kept with nice common spaces (including 24 hour coffee/tea, PC's with internet access and a small lounge). The rooms are very nice, if a bit small, and quite comfortable. As mentioned, breakfast is included and takes the form of a nice buffet. It includes bacon, sausage, and boiled and scrambled eggs. A variety of fruit and cheese, juices, milk, coffee, tea and fresh breads are also included. The best part, however, is that a variety of fresh danishes were also available. A mid-afternoon snack (cakes, etc.) was also available. The included dinner buffet was also nice. While I generally like to experience the cuisine in a city, having dinner provided by the hotel saves a great deal of money and we then usually go out for a nice lunch. While it may get a bit monotenous after a few days, for one or two, the buffet is quite nice. Items usually include a number of appetizers, a soup, a small main course (lasagne or roast beef with veg), a salad, etc.
