“Cheap and convenient”
Good location. 2 blocks from the train station right in the city center. One of the most affordable rooms in the area. Cabinn rooms are tiny, hence the price. Otherwise clean hotel, friendly staff, your standard Danish breakfast.
“Best Deal in a very expensive beautiful city.”
My only issue was with the lumpy foam filled pillows...
“Value!”
Although the room was tiny, everything in it worked and I found it quite comfortable. The location was excellent, the breakfast choices were good and I found the staff extremely helpful. All in all, great value in the heart of the city.
“Compact, Efficient and Clean”
I weeded through the negative reviews to make sure that it would work out and it ended up being just fine. If my parents, who haven't traveled very much and who need certain comforts were going to Copenhagen, I probably wouldn't recommend it, but it was perfect for me--someone who travels often, has a very limited budget and just wants a clean place to stay. I must admit, I have left rooms before because even though they were clean, they were just depressing. CABINN City was not like this. It's EXTREMELY small and basic, but it is kind of cool Danish modern and everything is small and compact. I liked it.
“Great location, great value”
Don't heed the gripes about lack of space. Yes, the bathrooms are tiny, but who goes on holiday to spend all their time in the bathroom? Rooms are an adequate size, very clean and comfortable. You'll struggle to find cheaper accommodation to this standard anywhere else in Copenhagen and the location is excellent, just behind Tivoli Gardens and only a short walk from the main train station and the tourist information office.
“narrow bed but very convenient area”
Great location--a few minutes walk from the central train station, and the surrounding area was nice--near the Tivoli Gardens. Narrow bed in my room! I thought I might roll off at night, but there are more expensive rooms that probably have bigger beds. Reasonable price for expensive Copenhagen. Had to check out at 5 am and front staff could not be located, but I found out later (I came back for a repeat stay later that week) that the front-desk person was downstairs helping to prepare the breakfast dining area at that hour, so this can be forgiven. Anyway, it was no problem, since I just left my room key behind the desk and left. Convenient, reasonable.
“Really good enough!”
Copenhagen is very expensive, and I find this one good enough. If you find hostel not bearable, then you might want to try this one!
“Great location, the rest not so great”
If you don’t mind very small rooms – I don’t particularly – this is one of the best price-location combination you can get in Copenhagen. You have your own bathroom - even though extremely small and with an interesting shower that I leave you the pleasure to discover – and bear in mind that many other budget hotels in the town do not make clear that you have to share the restroom. Rooms are also very clean. Contrary to what vendirs advertise, they do not have in-room safes. The real disappointment was the staff, which I found rude and unhelpful. They had the typical condescending attitude, especially a young gentleman with glasses, that you are not supposed to have toward patrons.
“A doubtful experience of my last stay at CabINN City Copenhangen”
Never were we so disappointed with a hotel as with the CABINN City Copenhagen! Just to mention a few: The "Standard Rooms" are so small that if you are two persons in the room, you could barely move. The Standard Room comes with two beds, one on top of the other! We had to add Danish Krones to get a "larger room" which was not fit for humans! The hotel has no Air Conditioning! Well this essential Non – Existing feature, is not mentioned anywhere in the Expedia's web site.FYI – there are from time to time very hot and humid days even in Copenhagen. The WIFI internet was a prerequisite for me/us! The internet did not work for 48 hours! This was so important to us (business reasons) up to the point that we'd never book at a hotel without internet! Bed's are so narrow, that an average adult person will never fit! Let alone person s with a humble overweight! We had to "recreate" 4 times the key cards since after two door openings, the keys ceased opening! Luggage – if you want to leave the luggage in a secured room…. You have to pay separately! Service – housekeeping do not speak English! Front desk staff – though efficient, are less than friendly. I am trying to be polite! Price per night for the CABINN City value is outrageous! We moved for the 3d night at the boutique hotel PHOENIX located in the splendid Nyhaven area for as much as 15% per night more! But….what a difference…… day and night!
“Bring a fan in Summer”
Read the reviews and know what to expect. The rooms are very small but fine if you need a clean place to sleep. The bathroom is tiny - smaller than what I've found on cruise ships. No air conditioning so it does get warm in the summer, our room hit 80 degrees F. A small fan that runs on 220v is a good idea. Also pack a hanging organizer for an extended stay as there is no dresser in the room. Include breakfast when you book, it's more expensive to add it later and it's the best meal deal in town though it never changes day to day. Yogurt, corn flakes, musli, apples, pears, ham, turkey, salami, cheese, 6 kinds of bread/rolls, jam, butter, orange and apple juice, coffee, tea, and milk. I spent 9 nights here with my wife and 14 year old daughter and would do it again.
