“Great Choice!”

The Ascot Apartments were a great choice during our stay in Copenhagen. There were 4 of us. . .3 adults and 1 child. The apartment was spacious which consisted of 1 bedroom, 2 partial baths, a nice kitchen with all the necessities, and a living area with a sofa that made into a double bed and a kitchen table and chairs. The location was in the heart of Copenhagen but was on a quiet side street. The apartment was very clean, the hotel adjoining was very nice, and the staff could not have been more wonderful to us. The nightly rate was reasonable, and we must agree with other reviewers that their buffet breakfast was just wonderful. We stayed there for 4 nights, and it was a very good experience. Definitely this would be our choice whenever we return to Copenhagen. Copenhagen is a great city to visit!

“Very nice hotel”

We stayed at this hotel with our 2 year-old son. Our appartment was very comfortable and clean. It was very useful to have a kitchen (and the kitchen was very functional). The breakfast was delicious.

“Great choice for small family”

Stayed here with my husband and 4 year old. It was great to have a fridge, a second bathroom and especially a separate bed (sofa bed) for my son. We didn't interact with the hotel staff much but when we did they were helpful.

“Ascot - terrific location”

The Ascot is located in the heart of just about everything. The train station, Stroeget, Tivoli, castle, etc. The beds for 4 are one double size and one couch pull out, which were not all that comfortable. The elevator is tiny - required twwo trips to get the luggage for 4 up to the apartment. Room was cleaned every day, except for the dishes, but this is typical in Europe. Requests of the staff for kitchen utensils and more towels were delivered very quickly. We elected not to eat the hotel breakfast, as it was expensive, and that's what we wanted the kitchen for. Groceries were easily obtained in Netto, just round the corner - but remember to bring your own bags. Most grocery stores either don't have plastic bags, or they charge 5 kr for each! The dinner-and-a-show place next door to the Ascot was a bit loud, but it was not overwhelmingly so. I would ask for a room further from that restaurant next time.

“Great location”

The apartments were very centrally located, within easy walking distance of City Hall, Tivoli and the Stroget, with a great selection of restaurants and bars close by. We opted to include breakfast, which was very good and ended up being great for us as it made for a quick and convenient start to the day as it was served in the hotel right next door. The staff was very friendly, but were unable to address an issue with the TV remote, so we had problems with the TV. We also had a clogged sink in our kitchen. The rooms were very large, bright and comfortable and it was nice to have the extra room to unwind at the end of the day.

“Smoky Non-smoking Room!”

Our family of four recently stayed at the Ascot Apartments in Copenhagen and would recommend this hotel to others, but beware of a few things. First, we specifically requested a non-smoking room due to health issues. By the door there was a distinct "Non-Smoking Room" sign, but our room REEKED of smoke. It was really terrible! Also, our apartment looked out to a back alley/garbage dump for a restaurant and ALL NIGHT LONG the workers would unload huge dumpsters of glass bottles to be recycled. We almost got used to the crashing by the end of our trip, but it was really annoying! To avoid this ask for a room on a higher floor. The apartment was a nice size and we liked being able to cook some of our meals there. The rooms were clean. However, the beds were pretty lumpy and uncomfortable (especially the fold-out couch). The hotel is centrally located and close to the train station and Tivoli which is nice. One thing to note, the hotel is directly next to an "adults only" venue which may be distressing to those with little children, but since it didn't really open its doors until late late night it didn't really bother us. Overall this was a pretty good place to stay, it was homey and it was nice to have so much space to spread out in after a long day of walking around Copenhagen.

“Nice for Tivoli”

Used the apartments with two small kids. Decent space and facilities. Ample breakfast included. Location great - near train station and Tivoli's main entrance (we could go in and out with our small kids for naps, etc.). Easy walk to center in a very walkable city. Problem is the noise from the major disco club across the street, where our Sat night stay featured techo-rock 'till dawn. Even in our top floor room the noise was intense. But that's life in the big city!

“nice hotel, mediocre service”

this was a very nice apartment in a great location, somewhat let down by the quality of the service. Staff were polite, but not particularly helpful, and tended to not follow through on solving problems. In the absence of a phone book they were completely defeated by a request for a phone number for the local SAS office!

“Great apartment, very central”

Our apartment was pleasant and had all the basics, the free breakfast was excellent, & and the housekeeping staff were good. Reception were a bit less than helpful.

“Great location - great breakfast!”

We have stayed often in the Ascot over the years. The rooms are older and smaller but the apartments are very, very nice. I use the apartments when having small business meetings where people need to stay over. The hotel is expensive but it is within walking distance of everything. The breakfast is great and included. Wi-Fi included too. If you don't want to get the train into town this is probably the best, albeit, pricy option.
