“Excellent Value and Convenient Location”

I was very pleased with my stay at the Absalon Annex Hotel. It's located a short walk from the central railway station (with direct trains to Kastrup Airport), and all of the city's major tourist attractions are nearby. My room was quiet, clean, confortable, and adequately equipped (2 single beds, 2 chairs, a desk, tv, telephone, wastecan, roomy wardrobe with six plastic hangers, a large sink with really hot and cold water, 2 large, fluggy towels, and a very large window opening onto a central courtyard area.). The toilet was a few steps down the hallway, and the shower was adjacent to the toilet. Both toilet and shower were clean whenever I used them. I will definately stay at this hotel again when the opportunity to do so arises.

“Very good hotel in the centre of Copenhagen”

Absalon Hotel Annex is a very good hotel just next to Copenhagen's main train station (2 minutes walk), the main shopping street and other attractions. In the Annex there are rooms without bathroom but you can also get a room with a bathromm in the Absalon Hotle *** in the same building. The same breakfast is served for both hotels and is excellent. I would reccomend the Annex for everyone that want an inexpensive yet clean hotel in Copenhagen's city centre.

“Absalon Annex Hotel”

ok cheap hotel for the budget traveller in a little rough area of the city (drugs, prostitues and pimps) but its safe if your streetwise. good resturants all around (can recommend the "good morning vietnam" resturant on abel cathrines gade) 5 minute walk me and the wife had a great long weekend its close enough to all of copenhagen tourist sights

“Stay in this hotel only if you're under a very limited budget”

Atendants were not very attentious at the check in. The guy who attended me did all the procedures of checking in talking at the telephone at the same time and didn't even looked at my face. I had to ask where the elevators were, other guests had to help me to operate the elevator (it is necessary to use a card, and nobody at the reception desk told me that). The room was clean, but everything is old. The pillow was so flat that I had to fold some clothes in to make it bolder. Stay in this hotel only if you're under a very limited budget. Otherwise, I would recomend somewhere else. The location is convenient for being near the central train station, but it is right in the middle of the red lights district. Postitutes may approach you even during the day.

“passable”

Passable prices by danish standards for a passable room. The location is nice and central, and there's a good authentic smorrebrod shop down the boulevard at the end of the street, which seems to be used mainly by workmen and the like. Some may find the area off-putting: it is being gentrified, but prostitutes do hang about.

“Just a bed to sleep in”

This hotel is good for budget travelers who do not plan on spending much time in the hotel. The best part about the hotel was that staff was very helpful. The hotel is right by the train station.

“Time Warp”

Ok, so Copenhagen is notoriously expensive for a budget traveler. The Annex provides a cheap place to stay. BUT... be warned that the rooms do not look pleasant. When you open your room door, you will think you have been transported back in time to 1962... tv, bed, carpeting and all. The strangest part of the room was the sink inside the room (note: washroom is in the hallway). It had 2 separate taps on each side. One spout had cold water only comming out, while the other spout on the other side of the sink had only hot water. So, you can imagine, that washing your hands is, well, challenging in this place. Overall, room comfort is pretty bad. We were not satisfied, but it was the cheapest in the city. Area is ok and seems safe. The redeeming factor is the included breakfast (and you need to fill up on it since eating out in this city is for the seriously loaded). So much variety of food! It was great! High quality products are served. If you can scrap up a bit extra money, spring for the actual Absalon instead of the annex - we saw their rooms... luxury compared to ours... plus its in the same building.

“red lights and mold... not good”

Not a pleasant stay at all. The communal bathrooms and showers were moldy and needed cleaning. Also, the hotel is situated in the middle of the red light district, complete with yelling prostitutes and propositions while walking back to the hotel at night. If this isn't your thing, avoid the Absalon!
