It's clean. Is that enough?

The Room We checked in late and had our choice of two lovely handicapped rooms. Once in our room, I tried to call the front desk as I thought it odd that I had no access to pay per view movies. I picked up the phone, no dial tone. Hmmm...wait, no cord on the phone. Once I did contact the front desk, we learned the hotel has no in room entertainment system. Hmmmm 4 star hotel? Okay. The room was clean, save the horrendous, leaky shower that flooded the bathroom. Just as well though, as the water washed away the hair left on the floor from a past tenant. Trust me when I say it could NOT have come from one of us! Parking They charge $15/day for self parking and just $18/day for valet. It's Concord! We're not talking San Francisco where there is a premium on parking. This is just...greedy. And annoying. Food. Opted for the breakfast buffet as it appeared cheaper than order a meal and coffee. Mistake. Powdered egg surprise, empty food containers, semi gross excuse for potatoes. The bacon was yummy though. Summary. All in all, unfortunately, this is what I expected in Concord, CA but I had hoped for more. Feel a bit more like a motel with nice bedding than a nice hotel. Just...average.

Cons: Better trained cleaning and repair staff.
A pleasant hotel, but room cleaning was inconsistent. One day the toilet paper roll was empty and not replaced. Hand towels weren't replaced either on that day. The cable TV channels ddin't work and first repair person did nothing to fix the problem. He just blamed it on the hotel's electrical problems and power outage. It took two tries before it got fixed.

Overnight stay.

Pros: Convenience to the freeway. Loved the bar in the lobby area with big screen TV's.
Cons: Better staffing at the Sunday buffet. We had to get up and ask for coffee and for service as we thought they forgot us. They were busy but.....
Location: Nice shopping near by. We were here to visit relatives but seems to have lots going on around the area.
Everything was wonderful in the hotel. Loved the overall stay. We were just disappointed in the service for the buffet so rated that portion down. Food was good with a good selection.

Hilton

Nice location with a lot of access to a variety of styles of restaurants within walking distance. Poor cell reception in and near the hotel. Free wifi in the lobby but unless you have an ATT or other accepted account (put in your full email at login), you have to pay for it to access in your room. Price point was reasonable. Parking per day is a bit high but I'm sure it's comparable to most hotels. Will be back!!

Won't Stay Here Again...

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: The towels were nice and soft.
Cons: It could be more kid friendly, and the hotel needs to clue up and not charge for parking, water, etc.
Location: Shopping.
First off, they charge you $15.00 to park!!!! Be warned, because they don't tell you that when you book to stay there. And if you choose that and not to valet for 5 dollars more, you have to park a quarter mile away and walk in lugging all your crap. The valets seemed a little too pushy and eager to get you to pay. On the description it said double sized beds, but they were the size of twins! My husband and I aren't overweight and it would've been impossible to sleep next to each other. The room and hotel have a nice modern look to them, but it's not kid friendly. This hotel is more geared for travelers and business people without children with bars and cocktail patios.

Pros: We had dinner at Plate & Vine and the scallops were awesome!!! The salmon with black beans and rice were superb!
We love staying at the Hilton in Concord especially for mini-staycations!

Concord Get Away

Location: Great location by the mall. A lot of good restaurants nearby. I had the pleasure of eating at Benihanas which is not even 5 mins far from hotel.
Hotel looks absolutely lovely when you walk in, room was nice and clean. The staff provided us EXCELLENT customer service. The only thing I did not like was that the bathroom was a little small, but it was nice and clean as well so it wasn't too much of a problem.
