Very nice ambience although it appears to be a new resort with associated teething problems. For example, although the staff were by and large very helpful and accommodating, some of them appeared to be inexperienced and need some more exposure to excell. The multiple restaurants flaunted in the resort's website were not yet functional. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay with good food, clean rooms, good creature comforts and a homely village-like feel. I would definitely recommend it to all.
"Well-run hotel close to a quiet stretch of beach"
We stayed for a week's sun escaping from February darkness and rain - this was perfect. 40 mins transfer from the airport, sitting alone surrounded by fields three minutes' walk from Benaulim beach, uncrowded with several good beach shacks serving delicious food inc Goan specialities. The hotel has a double pool, spa with massages on site, very good food. Guests tend to be Russian couples/families or groups of Indian tourists, most on all-inclusive deals. We ate out on the beach watching the amazing sunsets, every night.
This is a great place to stay! The hotel has been refurnished and looks new.An excellent breakfast ,which is included in the Tariff is an add-on.Pool is good and has a restaurant right in front of it.Some rooms have patios though a few open to a garbage pile.Don' dare to keep the windows open in the night. If you do,will know what mosquitos can do to your vacation.
Having said that there is a concern with the location.Colva as such has good shopping places and restaurants and the beach used to be very good until few years back. Not anymore.I remember going there back in 2007 and how we enjoyed the beach. Now, Its one of the most crowded beach and is full of litter all around with sewage being drained right into the beach. Not a place anyone would enjoy. This time we went there on an evening and returned in 30 mints.Had to travel 1-1.5 hrs everyday to reach a good beach or a tourist spot.I wouldn't recommend staying in Colva unless you are ready to spend 2-3 hours in commute everyday.
This small town 20 km south of Vasco da Gama is best known for its sandy beach. Tourists from around the world are drawn here, in no doubt helped by the presence of large resorts and hotels along the coast. The largely rural countryside can be explored by rented scooter. Meanwhile, Colva's central location makes it ideal as a base to explore the other regions of Goa.
