Never again

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Toilet broken, dark, dated and musty. Kitchen area poorly equipped. Stains on furniture and wells, terrible water pressure. They say they will be renovating but if they don't keep it clean it doesn't matter if it's new.

Convenient and Suitable

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Despite the apparent need for cosmetic updates, stained furniture, moldy walls, and ceiling stains, the hotel room overall was spacious and comfortable for 2 adults, 2 teens, and a 6 year-old. The pool was nicer than most hotel pools, and the attached fitness room had fairly recent and updated equipment. The breakfast was sufficientcwith good variety, and the lounge room area was also spacious and nice.

OSU Visit

Posted 07-Nov-2014
Pros: Staff friendly.
Cons: Kitchen and TV
Location: OSU Football & National Air Force Muesum.
Dishwasher would not operate, maid service could not open either. Other Hawthorne's have a stove. Came to see my son at OSU and cook some meals was not an option. Front TV was Ghosty, poor reception, back was one good. Also the Kitchen Cabinets where stained, cream color residue on them.

Glad it was only one night...

Posted 29-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
The desk clerk was wearing wrinkled clothes. The lobby couches were worn out. Our room air conditioner didn't work. The TV didn't carry the station we wanted to watch that evening, and the desk clerks only solution was to just look on the internet for our show...not very helpful at all. We ended up going down the street to a bar and were able to watch our show there.

nice pool

nice pool but door to outside was open - anyone could enter; outlets in the rooms did not work; location to restaurants/Target/etc was excellent; breakfast suggestion - add yogurt & more fruit

Nice Hotel

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: Close proximity to many restaurants and shopping.
Cons: Supply enough towels for everyone in your group. 2 towels will not work for 4 people.
Location: Everything is really close and within walking distance. Too much road construction prevented us from getting to where we needed in a timely manner.
Nice Hotel. Close to the interstate and numerous restaurants and shopping. My only complaint is that I called to make a reservation after moving from another local hotel, and advised them I was traveling with my dogs. I was given the total price to include dog fees. But, on the 2nd day (day of checkout), the front desk called my room to tell me they were not aware of my pets. No communication.

Very happy with our stay!

Posted 16-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
My family and I needed a place for the night and we were very impressed with the hotel, especially for the price. Very clean, the only thing that we got a laugh at was the lobby couch and love seat...little worn out. We're just from a small town and weren't looking for luxury. But were very happy with the accommodations. Will visit again if ever in the area :)

Kim Caudill stay review rm 303

Posted 14-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Many problems with room. Maintenance person needs replaced if that's the way it's maintained. Old pull out couch. Outdated. Old material. Secondary furniture, elrctrical tape around elrctrical cords rather than being replaced telephone books under right back corner of pull out couch holding it up. My husband had me hand the list to the attendant yet it didn't seem like it was a concern to her. Fist was there in the bathroom door not repaired. The refrigerator temperature was just turned up to high and it froze everything.

Certainly not best in class - even "economy class"

Posted 07-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
I understand that this is an economy hotel. When travelling with a large family like mine, we need to pinch pennies. However, even in the "economy" class, this hotel was lacking. The rooms had a rather offensive odor - which seemed to be in multiple rooms, not just our own (we had family staying in other rooms). The breakfast food was bland, and when we requested service (linens for the pullout bed and requesting the TV be fixed so programs would actually come through) it was received as an inconvenience to the staff. They did offer to send a repairman, but the only time he was available was in the middle of the day when our baby was napping, and couldn't be bothered to come back when we were actually out of the hotel. Its not as if any of this ruined our weekend, its just that next time we are in the area, we will choose a different establishment.
