“Perfect place to stay for one - two nights!!”

We stayed there for a single night. The surrounding is rather creepy but overall it was a nice place, and close to the airport. It is not a fancy hotel but clean and a decent place to stay. Staff was very friendly!! The bed and linens were clean, that was the most important thing for me!!!

“A good night's sleep at a GREAT price!”

I never would've considered booking a stay at Hawthorn Suites, figuring it would be way out of my price range. But taking advantage of a special offer through Expedia, I got the room at a rock-bottom price. I couldn't have been more pleased with the clean, comfortable room and the firm mattress which made for great sleeping. The free wi-fi access and hot breakfast buffet were additional benefits. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-70, and you can enjoy a nice dinner at the Red Lobster directly across the street. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

“Great value if you don't mind the area.”

The hotel is not in the best area (closed hotel next door with broken windows and closed strip joint) but for the price I don't care. They have security and the rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The desk clerks were very nice and helpful. I hope they stay open and keep the cheap rates because I am already planning my next stay there when I have to go to Columbus.

Area recommendations

This hotel is kind of close to the Airport. I usually like to stay in Worthington or Downtown.

“You get what you pay for”

This hotel in another location may have been fine. The room was spacious and comfortable. The issue (other than location) was the service. When we asked for extra towels, we were told "NO" but 2 hours later, someone showed up with extra towels. We did not know there would not be daily housekeeping, but we were there from Monday through Saturday, and the unit was never cleaned. On Friday, I was there when they were in the next unit, but when I came back to work, the bedding had been removed but was sitting in a pile on the bed. Later, I called the front desk to ask about that, and it was only then that I learned that there was a problem with their internet provider, which I needed to be able to work. I was given a phone number, but after 10 minutes on hold, I hung up because I got a call that I was not needed. Because of the neighborhood, there was a gate where you had to put your room key in to gain access, but it was open or knocked down every day except the first, and when it was working, you would have to buzz the desk to get it open, but did not have to identify yourself.

Area recommendations

I don't know the city well enough to know. The hotel was actually closer to my sister-in-law's house, although we had asked for one closer to the airport.
