“Fabulous hotel”

Rooms and overall lodge are beautifully furnished. Fireplaces everywhere, excellent dining room with Northwestern cusine. Wonderful pool and outdoor spa.

“The Wilderness an hour away -”

We took advantage of the resturant for two meal and were delighted with the food. The view from the lobby was fantastic. We enjoyed the pool and the grounds. We didn't quite understand the "resort fee" or why only the view side and not the "forest side" recieved a morning paper, but I'm sure all those nickles and dimes add up.

“AMAZING HOTEL...WEBSITE DOES NOT DO THIS HOTEL JUSTICE!”

We stayed here for 2 nights due to a friend's wedding. Everything about this hotel was amazing. Our view was spectaular, the lobby was breathtaking, the food was fantastic, the rooms were oh so comfty. The little town of Stevenson was very quant. Cant' wait to come back.

“Peaceful and relaxing”

We stayed at Skamania for our second wedding anniversary. We were looking for a relaxing getaway, and the lodge delivered! We enjoyed a fantastic couples massage and mud wraps at the Waterleaf Spa, had a fabulous meal in the dining room, and great drinks in the bar. Enjoyed all of the little amenities they offer - free coffee, apples, newspapers, a lovely area to sit on the back porch, and fantastic service all around. We will definitely be back!

“Lovely experience”

We took advantage of a special offer, and our room was not a river view room. Nevertheless we had a restful view of treetops, quiet and privacy. The room was excellent. The service in the hotel was prompt and kindly - all people were proud of their work, and it showed. When we forgot a suitcase on departure, it was kept and sent to us promptly without charge. We will return if at all possible.

“Beautiful setting!”

Extremely nice hotel staff. Comfortable clean room. Great hiking paths. Complimentary apples in lobby were a nice touch. Complimentary starbucks coffee in the common area could have been brewed stronger. $2. for tiny water bottles in room was outrageous. The tap water in this area is excellent. Outdoor jacuzzi was fine but the indoor one had an eye burning amount of chlorine or chemicals. Overall though we had a relaxing comfortable visit though.

“lovely hotel...the restaurant, not so much”

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. We have stayed here before and absolutely love it. The restaurant was having some problems, however. The breakfast menu was VERY limited and the service was awful. We stayed for lunch, and the service was even worse (although the food was good!).

“Happy at Skamania Lodge”

Delightful venue for a Lodge, the food while a little spendy was worth it. Nice places to visit near by. Would like to return when golfing is realistic in the weather. The spa and workout room were both fantastic.

“Enjoyed the visit”

The staff was very efficient and friendly. The hot tubs were wonderful without the overbearing smell of chlorine. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to explore the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. It is a little far if visiting Portland is the goal. We are not golfers, so I cannot comment on the course. We did enjoy the "hiking trails" as a nice walk about.

“Skamania visit”

Hotel lobby area and other areas were under construction for upgrading the hotel. Sitting in the area where the fireplace is was very loud due to construction machine-work going on. Other than that, hotel staff is so helpful and nice. Would have been nice to use the outdoor jaccuzzi, but it too was under construction. All of this would have been nice to know prior to our stay.
