“Nice hotel for the money”

Very pleased wjth the cleanliness and decor. Hotel is new and clean but the swimming pool was already out of order. Served bagels and english muffins at the breakfast but there was no toaster.The do-it-yourself waffles were great though.There is a Publix a short block away, to fill fridge w/goodies

“"Above and beyond my expectations"”

The hotel was beautiful and super clean. All conveniences for such a reasonable price. Great breakfast as well. The jewel of the hotel however was the staff. Kind people who made you feel like family. Any future trips to Columbia will be spent here!!!!!

“Very Impressed with condition of hotel”

The hotel was very clean with contemporary decor, however, the $20 Target gift card associated with reservation was never mentioned or given even after several calls to hotel management.

“kids weekend”

This hotel was very convenient to area attractions. The breakfast was well stocked and sufficient. The pool leaves alot to be desired--indoor but not heated, very lackluster. Hotel staff was helpful. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. Would stay there again.

Area recommendations
The 5-points area of Columbia is nice as well. It caters to a more adult crowd.

“Very comfortable stay!”

A great value and comfortable hotel in downtown Columbia. I live about 50 miles from Columbia and needed a place to stay while my husband was hospitalized nearby. Convenient to the shops and restaurants in the Vista area and the Children's museum. Rooms are spacious and modern with pleasant decor. I especially like the comfortable sofa sitting area. The breakfast was pleasing placed off the lobby, with a good selection of morning fare. There is an indoor pool, which I did not have the chance to use but some of the children in the hotel were having a great time! I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone, business traveler or families.

Area recommendations
The Vista area which includes great restaurants, the Children's museum and the zoo isn't too far.

“Great Value in the Vista”

The hotel was beautiful and less than 5 months old. We chose it for the hip/modern/euro decor, location and the price for a Thanksgiving weekend trip. The staff was very kind and helpful and the location was in walking distance of great restaurants, shops and attractions. The free breakfast was better than most and they had a bowl of Chupa Chup lollipops on the front desk! What fun!

Columbia is a very kid friendly and cultural city. With an outstanding children's museum, science and history museum, art museum, marionette theatre, numerous parks and the Riverbanks Zoo. We were really surprised at the number of great restaurants and the diverse selection. We did not have a bad meal. Thanks in part to a friends' recommendations we tried something different at every meal.

“What a great hotel!”

The hotel was just opened when we stayed. Everything was clean, neat and spacious. The room was so unlike a Marriott. Glass doors on bathrooms, giving light and a feeling of space. Seperate desk and sitting area. Privacy of working if another person is sleeping. Easy internet access, nice hot breakfast and a bar in the evening.I would reccommend a Springhill Suite to anyone wanting good value and close to what you are doing.

Area recommendations
The College of South Carolina campus is nice as is the historic part of Columbia. Great Civil War history and the architecture is beautiful.
