“Would stay again”

We were in Columbia to see our son graduate from boot camp, and the hotel is only a hop skip and a jump from the base. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The biggest problem that we found was the pool area left a lot to be desired. If some clean-up and maintenance were to be done, it could be a very nice area as well, although no hot tub. The breakfast is wonderful, fruit, cereal, fresh made bread right from the hotel kitchen, coffee, juice, sweet rolls, etc... so I would definitely recommend this hotel for convenience, friendliness of staff, and prices.

“days inn columbia”

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay this is it. While the hotel is older and slightly outdated it is clean and the staff was very pleasant.

“Need wireless inter in rooms, and should help you print.”

The wireless internet did not work in my room. I had to go to the lobby of the hotel to access it. I had to print out my boarding pass for my flight and the hotel was unable to help me print anything.

“stay some where else”

We were there for my sons graduation from the Army. The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel itself needs an update. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The chairs were stained & falling apart. The mattresses were stained and uncomfortable. The pool is small. All this didnt effect our trip but I will find another hotel next time.

“Needs a lot of work, too pricey for what you get”

This place can't be too bad, since I've stayed the last two times I've been to Columbia, mostly due to its location, and the fact that, while still overpriced, it's less costly than several other nearby motels. It is an old Days Inn that needs a lot of work. Carpets in hallways are filthy, or at least so old they look that way. Same can be said for the large tubs. They're clean, but look so dirty they're not very appealing - the old "marble," or whatever it is, just looks filthy. I do love the balconies, though, and the fact there are still some motels in the universe that allow smoking. (Even though both times I've been there have been no ashtrays provided in the "smoking" rooms.) The complimentary breakfast was pretty good, especially when considering it was free. Eggs, biscuts and gravy, fruit, pastries, a waffle maker. Not bad. Overall, I'd say I'd go again, but hope they will continue what I've been told is a makeover. For anyone who's even slightly picky, you will not be happy here.

“expected more”

the hotel had an odor as you walked into lobby, rugs in rooms also had odor.... the bathroom ceiling had a large stain on ceiling tile possibly due to water leak..If my stay wasnt as short as it was I would have went to another hotel........ only due to these conditions........

“Do not recommend”

Upon arrival into our room, we found bugs crawling out of our sink within 3 minutes. Our sheets were so wrinkly that I am pretty sure they had not been laundered and our toilet would not flush. Needless to say, we had to switch rooms. Our second room was better however the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the furniture had stains on it. We will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel needs an immediate transfusion: stained, shabby hall carpets, graffiti on soiled wallpaper, wifi only works in the lobby --name it! On the plus side: staff were pleasant and attentive, our balcony King suite was more-or-less okay, a generous breakfast was a pleasant surpise and the location is handy, but an emergency make-over is the only answer.
