According to expedia, this hotel was supposed to have 3.5 stars. It was very misleading. This hotel will not qualify for one star. I am sure that you have not seen the room that was assigned to me. It had no phone, no space to move and no cabinet to put my clothes. The matress was just a board covered with some material to attempt to reduce the hardship. WIFI was not working in my room because it was too far from the router. Accordingly, I had to got to a balcony in another part of the hotel to use my computer.
It was a very bad experience... Somebody sold you a white elephant...
Hotel is modern, clean, well designed and in a quiet neighborhood in Medellin. Spa is nice but not included, you have to pay extra for this. Continental breakfast is included and is served buffet style.
Note that the hotel is a bit far from the other trendy neighborhood (El Poblado). Great, comfortable choice if you need to be in this particular area.
i was very pleased with my staying in this hotel, with nice family feeling, the lobby was kind of small, and the hall in the floor were we stayed was kind of dark with automatic lights going on as u walk by , feel like i was in a high crime street, staff were very nice and friendly .price could have maybe 15% cheaper.but overall was with my expectetions.
The hotel is located in a very old, colonial part of the downtown. It's beautiful. The streets are narrow, the buildings are spanish colonial, and the environment is very busy. It's close to many great attractions. There are many other hostels and foreigners nearby. Unfortunately, it's populated by thieves and drug addicts. Be careful. I was attacked by a young man with a knife at 1:30 in the afternoon, as I had taken out my phone to look at my map. Luckily I escaped. So remember, never take out your phone, ever, when you're on the street. Also, don't walk around at night by yourself...take taxis to the hotel, or you're asking to get beat up/robbed.
The staff were awesome, and the hotel itself is beautiful...just use your street smarts while in that area.
