“great staff on reception!”
We stayed in the hotel for 3nights in january and altho its not the best situated hotel if you want to pop into the centre of paris, it is none the less a superb hotel. while there i contracted glandular fever and tonsilitus and after the first night we decided a doctor was in order! long story short we called reception and they sorted the doctor to come to the room and one of the reception girls stayed to help translate. they even went out for us afterwards to collect my perscription! cant thank them enough for their help, they really went the extra mile and its why i would definately recommend staying there!
“Nice Hotel, but a bit far”
This was a very nice hotel, with good service and clean rooms and we've enjoyed it. The only low point on this was the distance to the centre of Paris. It was a good 30 minutes trip by tube or cab - at least we learned how to use their tube and train's map :). Overall it was a very nice holiday!
“Marriott La Defense”
The check-in service was great, the staff spoke English quite well and extremely helpful and courteous. About 20mins to 30mins by bus/train into Paris itself but the services are efficient. The King size bed was great and very comfortable compared to other European hotels. Having a bar fridge was a draw card. The bathroom was nice with a proper shower and enough space for 2 adults comfortably. However the water from the shower did go all over the bathroom floor as there isn't a door on the shower at all.
“Good rooms, room service can improve.”
Good and spacious rooms, Good english speaking staff. Had 2 difficulties - The Safe in the room was locked and it took a while to get it opened. Felt this could have been done quicker. Also the Door lock was not operating and it took a while to get the room changed. Sometimes when requested for plates, we were asked to come at the reception and get the same. Expect the same to be provided in the room. Think all these issues can be resolved by adding a extra staff, however, would leave it to the hotel to act upon.
“OK hotel/location - HORRIBLE BED”
The location, although not in Central Paris, is alright. By car, it takes about 15 minutes. There is also a bus, I believe that goes straight from the hotel into city center. There's nothing at all in the area, but it's quiet, which is nice. Overall, the hotel is well kept. It's very clean and hotel staff are quite nice. HOWEVER, the bed was absolutely horrible!! The mattress had no support so you sunk in. And, it was covered in some sort of a plastic which you definitely felt beneath you. The sheets were such a cheap cotton, really rough against the skin. My boyfriend who could sleep through a typhoon was tossing and turning all night. It's a shame, because if the bed was of a good quality, I would give the hotel a really good review. Up side was that in the morning, when I mentioned our sleepless night, the concierge gave us a complimentary breakfast, which cost an insane 18euro. Also, parking for the night was 17euro which is quite expensive for the area. Perhaps it was just our room that lacked in comfort a little...but if you're looking for a good night sleep I'm not sure this is the hotel for you..,
“Hotel”
Nice hotel but there are a lot of roadworks happening just outside to upgrade the tram. No metro stop nearby. Have to get a bus and then the metro to get to any central location.
“Worst hotel”
Terrible location, unfriendly staff, only had one towel for two of us. Never staying there again
