“Good, convenient location”

Everything you would wish to have in a centrally located hotel. Not grand and elegant but modern, clean and with all the facilities you would need for a short or business break.

The Linder Hotel Dom is extrmely convenient for the centre of Cologne, and is a 2 minute walk from the railway station. It also benefits from being off the main street so street noise in virtually nonexistant, unlike the Sheraton Four seasons i;ve also stayed in which was very noisy due to the Hautbahnhof below it. The breakfast in the hotel was very very good, the rooms are stylish and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and yhelpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I've racked my brain for anything i didn;t like and whilst it wasnt a problem it wanted to balance out my praise with some negatives. 1) there was no tea & coffee making facility in the room and 2) there was no room service. neither of these was an issue but worthy of note as i wasn't well when there and a hot drink and room service would have helped. otherwise everything else about this hotel, its location, the staff, the food and the overlal experience was top nothc and i'd definetly come back.

“Clean, efficient and just round the corner from the Dom”

I can fully recommend the Lindner Hotel Dom Residence - the room was spacious, quiet and immaculate, the staff were ready to help us check in after midnight and our early morning call and taxi were efficiently arranged when we left. The hotel is located in a very central position and ideal for sightseeing. Breakfast not included.

The other review pretty well say it all. Breakfast and parking are a little expensive but there are plenty of cheaper options nearby for breakfast - including the railway station. All major sites in easy walking distance and overall it would be difficult to find fault

The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the haufbahnhoff, excellent location. Very clean and comfortable. Absoutely no complaints. Good value with the expedia special rates.

“A New Year Stay”

Hotel and staff are exellent, we couldn't have had better service, and all staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and quiet. All meals of a very high standard, very good selection breakfast ,a little bit expensive but worth it.

“Great hotel, excellent location”

The hotel service was really good and the rooms very clean. It was so near to everything as well. The staff were extremely helpful, even booked us onto our return flight and printed the boarding passes for us. Would definitely recommend. The train station was just a few minutes walk away and a fast and regular service so certainly not worth getting a taxi to and from the airport. The Xmas markets were nice to wonder round, good atmosphere, especially worth going to the Siegburg Mittelalterlicher (christmas market) which is just 30 minutes on the train, just outside Bonn. A medieval market with torches instead of lights, craft booths, blacksmiths etc, a great atmosphere and worth the trip.

“Ideal central location and very good facilities”

Apart from our room not being ready at 1800 hours on our arrival, and there being a charge for WIFI which we felt was surprising in a hotel of this class, we were delighted with the hotel. The communal areas were very spacious and calm, and our room (deluxe on the 7th floor) was worth the extra price as it was very spacious, well equipped and had a private balcony. The hotel is very hard to find however and you need a good map of Cologne and detailed instructions (we didn't find the hotel's own instructions very helpful as there are few road signs visible). There is a secure underground carpark (fee payable) with plenty of space, but very narrow lanes to negotiate.

“Classy hotel near Cologne Centre”

Would recommend this hotel as it was very reasonably priced for the quality provided. It was close to the Hauptbhanhoff and cathedral less than 5 min walk away. All amenities were available. The Bar prices were very reasonable and the staff very helpful. There are plenyt of restuarants, bars and other cheap food outlets (whole range!) within walking distance. The Rhine is within 5 min walking distance and again there is a wide range of entertainment, bars and restaurants available. The museum is adjacent to the cathedral and well worth a visit. Transport is available via the Metro (Hauptbhanhoff) and the cream coloured licenced taxis are very resonably priced and drivers all extremely friendly and helpful.
