“As good as last time”

Friendly, helpful staff who, although they spoke excellent English still allowed me to speak German with them. This is a comfortable hotel in a very convenient location — I could see the spires of the cathedral from my hotel bed. It was slightly noisier than on my last visit because the room was on the other side and closer to a major road. However, this was not really very intrusive. This was my second visit, and if I return to the city I shall certainly hope to stay there again.

“Handy For the City (but not for Nurburgring!)”

A well run, clean & friendly hotel within ten minutes walk of the Bahnhof & the Dom. This hotel was incredible value for money (four nights for way less than a taxi one way to the Nurburgring!) and can be highly recommended.

Excellent location - 5 minutes walk from the main railway station, metro station and cathedral. About 20 minutes by train airport to hotel. Modern style of furnishing - well maintained - rooms with usual amenities - always a fresh feel about the place. Excellent and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Visited several times in the past and will use again. Well recommended.

“Conveniently located Hotel”

We stayed for 3 nights. The weathewr was scorching but fortunately the room was equipped with an air con unit. Within easy walking distance of the sights,town,river and railway station. Has own garage which is resonably priced but a bit of a walk away. Using Satnav always took us to a one way street on the other side of a dual carriage way.

Excelant location, well priced and their comfort rooms are great, budget rooms well you cannot expect much at that price.

“Strange art but comfy bed”

Bizarre when you enter your room as there is a painting of some lady in red facing you, and not even hanging from the wall but specially presented. Gives the room some character though. Hotel was very clean, breakfast was a simple but fresh buffet, location was good for easy access to the Dom, train station and old town. As is cheap would recommend as a good base to explore the town.

“Very pleasantly surprised!”

The hotel was delightful. It was clean, and the breakfast was great. Our room was large, with a new big-screen TV and fabulous bathroom. The price was reasonable and location great--very close to the train station.

“Surprise package of a hotel”

a friendly welcome at checkin set the scene for our stay at Cristall. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Hotel decor was "up beat" with art prints in each room. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The location is close to the main railway station, about 8-10 minute walk, regardless of the snow and ice on the footpath !! all the main attractions in the old part of Cologne are within easy walking plus a good selection of restaurants close by. I would stay here again as this first experience was very positive.
