“Been here twice now”

Really enjoyed our stay here. Arrived in April for a birthday treat and also for the Christmas markets. The location is central and you can here hear the train announcements but its not annoying. It didn't spoil our trip!! Lovely hotel, polite and courteous staff. Loved the breakfats..very filling. Will rebook for Christmas 2007

“Grand Hotel Koln”

We had got to the hotel after a long day of travelling and couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience at the reception whilst checking in. Room was a good size and the location to the main train station was easy walking distance. Word of caution to those new to Koln when you arrive there are 2 Grand Hotels but one is a Best Western and you arrive at that first. The Grand Hotel is another 100 metres on around the corner. They are both owned by the same company and the staff at both hotels were keen to assist. Breakfast was lovely, there was plenty of choices and the quality was good. We had a lovely stay in Koln and a lot of that was due to the staff's eagerness to please at the Grand Hotel. Thanks guys for a memorable stay. Close to restaurants, bars and the tourist attractions.

“Grand City Hotel Köln Zentrum March 2012”

The hotel overall was generally good, ideally situated for easy access to the trains and the DOM cathedral. The room was of a good size with all the equipment you could desire for a short stay, we found the beds uncomfortable and the pillows also. In our room 214 the toilet has a bad stain which really needs replacing. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of fruit, salad bits, bread rolls etc, some hot food of bacon, scrambled egg beans etc. and the usual fruit juices, teas & coffee all accompanied by friendly staff. So a good hotel, ideally situated and more than adequate for all your needs plus free WI-FI.

“Ideal for visiting Koln”

Used this hotel for visiting the Christmas Markets Nov 2011. Very conveniently situated, only 5 mins walk from Koln Cathedral and right next to the train station Situated on a side street it is a quiet, comfortable hotel. Breakfast included. Bar a bit small but you are surrounded by drinking places elsewhere. Will visit markets again and will definately try to get this hotel.

“Would definately go back”

We stopped here for 4 days and were very happy and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and made the stay brilliant - I would come back and would be happy to recommend this hotel as a brilliant and definately value for money venue - the buffet breakfast was superb.

“Near train station”

The location of the hotel is convenient for travel by train. The accommodations are very average. There is no air conditioning. Our room was extremely hot. We found it difficult to sleep. The room was clean. The breakfast was very good. This would be a good 3 star hotel, not 4 star.

“Great Location, Great Breakfast!”

We went to Cologne for the Xmas markets & our main criteria for a hotel was location. The hotel was in a quite side street next to the main train station & very close to the Dom Cathedral & Rhein River. I think the 4 star rating is a bit generous but the room was neat & clean (although a little cool & no heating) & the bathroom modern. The buffet breakfast was excellent & overall this hotel is very good value for money. I would recommend it for a busy weekend stay. My partner & I were very happy.

“Great Location”

This hotel is very close to train station and Dom in downtown Cologne. It is clean, but the rooms and beds are small.
