“Paper Thin Walls - on the Walk Platz”
VERY noisy - The walls are paper thin and you can hear clearly the conversation next door. We had the room with the view which meant our room was smaller than our friends room. We didnt have a frig they did. Our view was looking sharply to the left to see the top of the Dom ... BUT - that also meant that we were on the walk platz side above the stores - which was also the walking path from everyone returning from the bars... remember, I said walls are paper thin - as are the windows. Staff was very pleasant, breakfast was wonderful, but it doesn't make up for the lack of sleep from 2300 hrs - 0700 hrs.
“Not impressed”
Owner or manager was smoking all day on Saturday, cigarrette smelling was bad and triggered allergies on me and other person sharing room. Breakfast was good, cleanliness good except for cigarrettesmelling. Poor directions to hotel, advise to include in hotel information that hotel is on area reserved for walking/no car access. Excellent location but room was extremely noisy because it was in hotel front, difficult to sleep.
“Great Location, Poor Hotel”
The hotel was very loud at night. I stayed there durig June 2008 for six nights. Two of the nights were extremely hot and this made it impossible to sleep. There was no air conditioning. There was no fan. The matresses were old and uncomfortable. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
“Avoid this dump!”
This place is a dump! Dingy, peeling wallpaper, broken sink, stained bathtub, prison-quality beds. Very bad value, they should pay me to stay there.
“Don't go near it!”
We booked this hotel for our daughter during the World Youth Days. I had assumed a "business class" European single: small but clean with some modern convienences. Expedia should not not be offering this as a hotel...worse than most boarding houses or youth hostels--a real hole in the wall.
“Not so great...”
The location isn't bad, right on the Hohe Street pedestrian shopping area. However, there is a tiny reception area, no lobby to speak of, no internet services at all and no long distance or even toll-free phone service available. Also, there was only one pillow in a double room and the person at reception spoke absolutely no English whatsoever so it was impossible to get our requests taken care of. You get what you pay for.
