“Good Hotel”
We were very happy with the polite and friendly staff who were able to help us with all of our needs. The hotel is located a little distance from the main town but this was not an issue for us as we were driving. The hotel had free parking on the street outside which we happily used but it is on a first come basis. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean and comfortable. I think the hotel was very good value for money and I would recommend it for short breaks. The only negative I could think off is that the gym consists of four pieces of equipment which do not actually work.
“Excellent Hotel”
The hotel was well placed mid point between the city centre and the airport. The tram stop is close by which gets you into the city centre in 15 minutes. The hotel staff spoke good English and were very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is good and the executive rooms are spacious and well equipped.
“Great hotel but not central”
Very good hotel with excellent staff. Buffet breakfast excellent. Only issue is that by public transport it is about 30 minutes from the centre in the Mulheim district. Transport is fine once you work it out, using Tram No 4 between Kaupstrasse and Neumarkt, with 10 minute walk to hotel. We would definitely use this hotel again.
“Excellent hotel”
We booked executive rooms and they were spacious (bedroom and sitting room areas, plus balcony access) and furnished to a very high standard. The buffet breakfast was extremely good, with plenty of choice. We also dined in the restaurant and found the food to be of a very good standard. The only slight negative was that the surrounding neighbourhood was not especially nice. The U-bahn was 5-10 min walk away, which provided a convenient route into central Cologne. The hotel had secure parking, so we had no reservations about leaving our car. Overall we were very pleased; I would pick this hotel again if I was visiting Cologne.
“One night flying visit to Cologne”
Family of 5 including 3 teenagers - we booked 2 rooms as we were en route from UK to Innsbruck for Xmas skiing so location near to Cologne city centre wasn't essential. There is a payable underground car park at the hotel but we parked the car outside the hotel overnight without incident. As we arrived around 5pm and I didn't want to drive into the city (or take the bus/tram/metro# we ate dinner in the Brauhaus #under separate management# about 30 metres away #turn right out of hotel and the Brauhaus is on the end of the block#. Didn't make it to the Xmas markets in the centre about 3 miles away - another time perhaps. The breakfast was extensive with cereals, fruits, breads, cheeses, salamis and a restricted range of hot breakfast food #German sausages and crispy bacon rather than British style). Typical, high quality German product. Good value for money. At the rear of the hotel is a newish residential area with few facilities (eg shops, bars). In front of the hotel across the dual carriageway is the older residential area which does have a few more places of interest (ATMs, bars, Turkish supermarket, kebap shops) but nothing that would keep you from going into the city centre to look around. Both local areas are safe to walk around.

Hotel is very clean, child friendly and the staff is quiet amicable. I recommend this hotel if you are willing to add a 15-20 minute each way to go to the centre of Cologne. However there are a couple of stations within 700 meters of the hotel with direct tram/train lines to the centre of the city. Also a nice local restaurant next door to the hotel with friendly staff, good German food, and reasonable prices.
