When we visited in October, we were wary as some reviews were not positive - We were stunned - Both my friend and I were Customer Service Managers all our working careers and we were well pleased right from the greeting from Stephanie at the front desk and the service of every single employee we encountered - I can't recall her name, but our server in the dining room was also remarkable.
Although there are a few areas requiring updating cosmetically, as older buildings will - the rooms were updated, clean and luxurious, the grounds stunning and the chef's creations were delicious and beautifully presented.
Brought another friend back in mid-February to enjoy the pools and help recover from knee surgery...The same excellent service and great cuisine were experienced - One negative comment was the temperature of the main lobby - granted it was THIS February and we all know how frigid it has been, but a giant fireplace in the centre would radiate heat up and out from the atrium passing on some warmth for the staff at the front desk, and patrons to boot...
Would recommend Georgian Manor to anyone looking to be well looked after.
I look forward to coming back in the nicer weather and checking out the chipping/putting course, outdoor pool and grounds.

Really lovely 3 night stay at Cranberry Inn with my husband on our anniversary. The One Bedroom Condo Suite has a full kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, fireplace, huge living room, TV in living room and bedroom, super comfortable bed, temperature controls, and a jacuzzi bathtub. Very Clean. Loved it. Worth the money. We checked in during the early evening, and they had the fireplace turned on for us in our suite - it made us feel welcome.
We are car-free and do a lot of walking. The hotel's location was very pedestrian friendly, even in the dead of winter. 40 minute walk to downtown Collingwood, close to Blue Mountain-Collingwood Shuttle stop. Do not depend on the local public transit, we hardly saw any buses around. Cab ride to Greyhound station cost $10. TIP: If the Greyhound seems too expensive/inconvenient from Toronto, try AUC Tours that go to Blue Mountain in the morning ($20 one way), spend the day there, then take the Coltrans shuttle to Collingwood ($2) in the afternoon.
We stayed there because it was cheaper and better than other options in Blue Mountain area. If you want to stay in Collingwood definitely consider this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was very amicable. Although breakfast was simple but good enough. Location is very convenient but you need a car to reach Blue Mountain Ski resort.
It's very close to the Collingwood, that means shoppers, sportschek and plenty of restaurant are in drive way 5 minutes. Public facilities are also really good, giant slide in the pool, and a small outside spring pool, my friends and I had really enjoyed the time in hotel.
If you need a place just for the night in Collingwood, I can recommend it. This last minute deal was available for the portion of the price of Blue Mountain resort hotels. Came by car anyway so didn't mind a 10 minute drive from the resort. The hotel could use some improvements like new doors and windows but the room was clean and well serviced which ultimately mattered to us.
Overall good experience, wouldn't hesitate to come again.
Hotel seems old on the outside but the rooms are brand new and look modern. The hotel is 15 min drive to the ski hill and restuarants are everywhere. Good hotel but a little pricey but not as expensive as the other ones in the area.
